    • +2

That's amazing, pay $60 more for 2 years local warranty and not having to deal with Kogan. :)

EDIT: Was beaten by 42 sec :(

      • +1

You forgot the added postage costs from kogan.

        • +1

My ozbargain-fu still is not perfect, completely forgot about the ridiculous fee that kogan usually charges for shipping.

      • +1

I don't think the AU stock has 64GB model.

        • +1

What he was showing was a 32GB model :P

    • +1

    Isn't BLACKARSE Racist?

    • Only if you feel like it is

    • +9

If anyone is offended by that they really shouldn't be anywhere near an active internet connection

    • Since when the word "Black" is no longer a reference to colour but a race?

    • Just googling that…..holy moly, **do not google that at work***

    • I'm black and take no offence

    • I think Blackhole would of been a more appropriate code considering its a Galaxy.

  • Do you provide tax invoice?

    • +1

Yes, we provide Australian GST TAX invoice to all our transaction online and instore.

  • Rep is this free of any carrier bloatware? Your URL includes Vodafone: https://www.mobileciti.com.au/samsung-galaxy-note-5-32gb-bla…?

    • this is vodafone version, 100% unlocked/outright, you can use any network sim card.

      • +2

The vodafone version doesn't really have much bloatware. If i remember correctly it is just 2 small shortcuts for vodafone which you can easily remove by uninstalling it.

    • If it is similar to Vodafone model of Galaxy S6, the bloat included with it (2 apps) can be easily removed (can be uninstalled).

I think you could change the firmware to a unlocked version of it (given that the model number is the same) (i.e. Galaxy S6 Vodafone model is G920I which is same model as the unlocked one), by using Odin without tripping the KNOX counter, though this is something I am not certain about.

      • ^ it wont trigger KNOS counter

        • As far as I remember, flashing the firmware with the different firmware don't remove any of the personal files, am I correct?

Every time I needed to use Odin, I was either changing ROM or something wasn't working (so, after I did system restore or something similar), so I can't remember exactly what Odin did when you flash the official firmware.

        • OK thanks, if they can be uninstalled just like regular apps then I'll jump on it! :)

        • Sorry another question - will this have the Vodafone logo on start up or any other vodafone related stuff or just the couple of apps i need to uninstall?

        • @Slave1: Vodafone S6 doesn't have any sign that it's a vodafone device (other than the 2 apps), but it'd be better to check with anyone with Vodafone Note 5.

  • Any chance that you have sourced some sub $500-400 phones for those of us who don't want the flagships? please.

  • Long live TA….kudos to your work

  • Oh wow, just when I was about to ask.
Pity I'm not going overseas soon (or should I?)

  • that's a good price. would have been great if this was around 3 weeks ago :)

      • Yeah i know. my fault for jumping the gun and buying dual sim LG G4 instead. Now begins the long 24 month wait before I'm allowed to buy a new phone.

  • I know this would have been asked a million times, but will officeworks match coupon code?

      • +1

        thanks

        • +1

You definitely/obviously can't do this for Officeworks on-line purchases as CSRs will check the website, but some users have claimed they've been able to walk into a store with a mobile/laptop/tablet already at the deal page (with coupon applied) and staff have given the price-beat based on this without checking the deal themselves on an Officeworks PC :)

  • +5

Will a 64GB Gold version be available any time soon? 32gb isn't sufficient these days. Waiting impatiently to hear from you! :)

  • Thanks OP and REP. Can I pick it up from Parramatta today if i buy?

    • +1

Indeed, but I'd call first (02 9893 8886) just to confirm it's ready for collection :)

  • Why is Vodafail getting rid of their Note 5's, no takers? Needs to be 64GB and unbranded for me to jump, and around $800 or less. It will happen.

    • +2

There is an issue on some note 5 regarding responsiveness of the touch screen at the edges while using the stylus. Have been confirmed in most devices I have seen at work and stores.

  • Damn, no IR blaster.

  • wish there is a gold color for special deal

  • I would hold off until the Nexus 6P in less than 1 week time…and expect further price cut by samsung… Previously the Nexus doesn't come with SD card nor removable battery, hence I always chose Notes over Nexus… Now both are the same level ground, but Nexus always gets Latest Android heaps ahead against Samsung… And 128gb Nexus will be the sweet spot.

    • I would've said you would be correct if Nexus used Snapdragon 820 or something on par with Exynos 7420.

Most Nexus devices were very good because they had up to date spec with minimum bloat. That's why I was tempted when Nexus 5 came out (Snapdragon 800). I was not really thrilled with the Nexus 6 because of the price and screen size. Nexus 9 looked decent enough for its price, though since I was going to use my tablet for watching movies, I've chose something with 16:10 ratio.

The two Nexus that are coming out has either SoC that's worse than 805 in some regards (i.e. GPU (805 vs 808)), or something requires heat pipes and underclocking in order for it to work properly (Snapdragon 810).

      • Agree with the likely CPU issues with the new Nexus… Nevertheless, not releasing 64gb until December (and that's even not confirmed) really upsetting… And hopefully the releasing of new Nexus would put pressure on samsung, price wise and specs wise… Spent close to $900 for what it offers now still not my cup of tea….

        • Yeah, I didn't like the move that Samsung made with S6 and I personally liked Note 4 over Note 5. I still don't understand why note 5 has no 128GB model (even though from what I've gathered, the most popular model for S6 were 32GB ones, so that might be it). Having no option, having cheaper option and having an expensive option feels completely different from each other and Samsung seems to not know this… Sigh.

        • @Oversimplified:
Well, we all know that S series catering to a totally different customers segment against that of the Notes series… So only the corporate conspiracy theory can explain the idiotism behind this move…. Lol

        • @AllWins: My theory is, they are idiots. Or it might be UFS 2.0, but that doesn't explain why S6 had a UFS 2.0 128GB model.

This is racist… they can't help to sit on their arse all day!

  • +1

    "+1 for for the code"

    …said no one lol

  • +1

Black is elegant colour. I love ALLBLACKS.

  • Torn between this and the new G6 Edge Plus. :(
    Thoughts?

    • +2

I'd be going for this. Exactly the same specs and cheaper than the Edge + from what research I've done. Not sure if the use of the Edge screen offers any big advantage to you. It catches the light more when viewing the 'main' part of the screen and the bezels aren't as comfortable when holding compared to the Note.

      • Cheers for the suggestion. From what I gather, the only 'plus' about the Edge+ is the prettier looking screen ie. the curved edges.

        • Bigger memory on the edge+, they offer the 64gb version, note 5 is only to be 32 (in Australia at least) :(

        • Ah yes, no expandable storage is a bit of a pain. Seems like a bit of a push and pull when it comes down to choosing one of these phones. Huge price difference atm though, about $400 between the 2. Not really sure if it's worth sacrificing that much at this point in time haha.

  • just got paid and was going to buy it… sold out :(

    • Hi

I just clear out few duplicated orders, few more avaiable to order, 12 mins left hope you can make it.

      • oh man! i totally went to bed after i posted :(

Thanks anyway mate, i'll keep an eye out over the next few days!

  • Hi mobileciti, any chance of a great deal on the Galaxy Note 4 please (Aus Stock) ?
