    So how does it work?
    Buy code, download via Steam?

    • +2

With a website called 'savemidownload' I half expect physical discs

      • Ha - nice, I never thought of it from that perspective.

        • Are these via steam?

        • @Dasaci: no reply for rep hmm..

        • @Dasaci:

Apologies - I answered in the thread below, not directly. I guess that's why they give me L plates above.

          They are not Steam keys.

  • Cool Thanks. Still navigating my way around here.

GTA V really isn't that great of a deal. Trust me, I've been keeping an eye on it for a while.
    At JB Hi-Fi it's currently $69 AND that's for a physical copy.

That being said, the other games may well be a good deal. I haven't checked.

Thanks for the feedback on GTA V.

Compared to other digital offerings we stack up pretty well. ie. Steam is USD$79.95 or around AUD$112.00. And what we are trying to do is give an Australian alternative to digital.

Saying that, how about if I throw in another 10% off code for GTA V: illgottengains

As a thanks for the feedback from everyone.

Comparing with Steam is kind of cheating though, since they are selling it at the RRP. When comparing with other 3rd party key vendors you price stacks up fairly well (on par with ozgameshop), but is not the cheapest.

      • Yeah just be careful with comparing grey vs legit too. Always ask your retailer first if the code is publisher supported. I don't wish to implicate any retailer on that list but the question is worth asking of them.

  • Why's there such a price difference between rockstar and steam keys? What's the difference?

  • No difference to the game, just the Rockstar keys cant be activated through your Steam account.

We are pricing at we what we think is a fair price for the Australian market - whilst combating our plummeting dollar and still getting some margin to 'keep the lights on'. Its a hell of a balance at the moment, particularly with the onset of grey market and code stripping. We looked at a grey market model, but prefer to support the publisher, who supports us. And not risk having our customers game accounts (eg. Elder Scrolls Tamriel) suspended - due to grey market codes.

Rockstar are 100% supportive of this promo, but wanted to keep it Rockstar keys instead of Steam.

As for Steam, I've noticed in recent times that quite a few products and new releases are creeping up in price.

So as for our Rockstar Games - some will be download from our supplier (Im downloading GTA IV complete as we speak - to revisit the goodness), and the activation code entered upon completion.

GTA V (for example) requires log in to the GTA Social Club for installation and activation. Instructions should be on each product page and will again be sent via email upon order. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

    Thats the long winded version…

    • Where do we download the game from?

      • GTA V - Installation and online play requires log-in to Rockstar Games Social Club (13+) network. http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/

Other games - if direct download - servers are based in Europe. They are quite swift however, GTA IV was zooming along before I started to download adobe creative cloud concurrently from another server. Stupid impatience….
