    "3840 x 2160 @ 30Hz"!! No thanks.

    • +3

At least they're upfront about it, I wouldn't buy it, but so many hide those specs

  • I have been using this TV since 2 yrs now and I'm quite happy for the price I paid..

  • +5

Not a good price considering the Aldi UHD TV has HDMI2 and 4K@60hz AND 65" for an extra $200 (or is it $300 more?).

    • But you cant get them anymore (preorders finished Saturday)

Depends how you read the comment

        • @Regie69:

Your link states Panels Native Refresh Rate: 120Hz (60Hz at full resolution)

          but the above states 3840 x 2160 @ 30Hz.

          Are these the same models?

          @Wakety-Wack:
NO. The OP is talking about the Kogan 55"
We're referring to the Aldi (Bauhn) 65"

        • @Phoebus: Cheers

I second this. HDMI 2 increases bandwidth up to 18Gbps and supports 4K Ultra HD at 50/60 fps with 12-bit 4:2:2 colour. Much more future proof and supports native 4096 x 2160 unlike the "4K TV's" these days that are 3K (3840).

    Here's the dilemma

You are happy with the tv but not the price
Or your happy the the price but not the tv

Only ozbargainers find us the best of both

    • +3

      Ozbargainers have high standard

WE WANT CHEAP CHEAP WITH TOP QUALITY OF THE BEST OF THE BEST! None of this Aldi Kogan stuff lol

  • +1

    Refresh Rate 60Hz :(

  • +7

This will go great with all my 4K content

    • +1

Would consider a 4k tv as a huge monitor if the colour reproduction was guaranteed to be sufficient. I don't currently see much point in 4k in the lounge room - I rarely watch anything higher than 720p.

  • I just want them to upgrade the Andorid OS on my 32" Agora LCD from 4.2 to 4.4 so I can get Netflix and iview!!!!

    please?

Kogan Presale 55" Agora 4K Smart LED TV (Ultra HD) $999 + Delivery

will this have the same issue?

      update:

      Above TV is:
      Android 4.4 (Kit Kat)
      Netflix compatible

    • +3

The easier route is to get a chromecast(New one will be released soon) or just buy one of those cheap android box from ebay.

      • +1

I edned up buying one of those cheap refurbed blurays for $25 a while back. works a treat.

Just a shame they sell some 'smart' TVs that don't do the things most people would want

  • +2

Im considering Target's Onix 55" FHD for $699. 60hz, 1:200 contrast ratio. No smart features. Or Soniq from JB. $799 with smart features. Same specs.

Im not too fussed about 4k as all I watch is FTA and netflix.

    • +1

I'd recommend the TCL if you're after a cheap, decent 55".

      • My dad just wants a good fhd TV to watch sports in HD. He wouldn't ever access any smart features, so which TV would be beat for his requirements?
