I was in the Sydney CBD Sony Centre yesterday admiring the 46" Z5500 TV which is still selling at the bargain price of $1999 (see my earlier post http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/20805)

While I was there I noticed that ALL Playstation 3 games were 50% off the marked price. Not a bad deal, they had about 65 titles in stock - makes Platinum games $25 and most new releases $60 or less.

I tried to get PlayTV half price but they refused saying that wasn't a game. Tried also for EyePet but sold out.

Rang Chatswood and they have the same deal - so I'm guessing this is at all Sony centres (but based on user feedback not QLD so perhaps NSW only…..)

  I was thinking of posting this deal up too, but I must say the games offering at the World Square store is pretty bare - mostly old games. Hopefully one will have better luck at the other stores.

    so is the games at sydney cbd (which is world square) bare or 65 in stock

      When I was there yesterday there were ~65 in stock. Some older games, some newer ones. No CODMW2 or the absolute best latest games, but some good games nevertheless. Ring them if you are interested in a particular game and then maybe price match with EB or whatever if you can't be bothered getting to Sydney.

    I was gonna ask the exact same question

    just callled up. Brisbane Edward st is a negatory. Apparently they don't stock too many games so they don't have the volume to do sales

  Just went down

  Mostly old games and most are over priced already

  Cheapest I found was Killzone 2 (49) so i got it for 25. They had infamous for 49 before discount so that will be a bargain.

  Everything else is 99+

    I should also add I think they have a stashed of stuff not on display. When I purchased Killzone they got a sealed one from the back.

      Would not surprise - perhaps they've stashed some of the more modern games.

      Went down about an hour ago - they still have ~60 different games on display. Some are definitely overpriced even at 50% off (eg. Red Faction Guerilla $109/2 but its $49 at JB HiFi 100 metres away)

      You must have missed a few of the games marked $90. Rapala Fishing at $69 less 50% was tempting.

  Drummoyne SC has nothing worth getting

  I think that sony get games when they release and never the prices on the products.

  2 cheap ones I saw was Buzz (the oz one) was 49 before discount and Terminiator was 49 before discount.

  Everything else close to $100. The sony store prices dont seem to be consistent as Killzone 2 was marked at 50 in the CBD store but 109 in the drummoyne store….random!
