I've had the black snake ones, They aren't too bad. I found it quite weak coffee, but had a nice caramel like flavour (I usually drink the nespresso intense range)
If you usually buy third party pods definitely give them a try!, but if you are not a fan of third party pods I don't recommend them. Thanks Sambora, these pods have 20% more, did you notice the difference?
Not really,
Do they state what the 20% more is compared to?I've tried these, I'd say they do have 20% more when compared to Nespresso pods, but this can be a bad thing as it restricts the flow through the pod a lot and the extra time to get the water through can burn the ground beans a little, but if you time it right the taste is quite good.
The "extra time to get the water through" will not burn the ground beans. Can only happen if it's in a roaster.
Longer time to extraction process is good, bring it closer (but not remotely close enough) to a real espresso machine… slow… patience is virtue to get the juice out.
Agreed. Bought the four pack last time, tried the strongest ones (redback ones I think?), definitely tasted weaker than Nespresso's Indrya pods (strength 10). I'm a 2 small shots in a mug person so possibly I didn't have enough water through the pod as per markus84 above.
Any chance the minimum spend for the code can be dropped to $20? I'd like to try them but don't wanna buy so many pods. The 40 pod sampler pack for $26 looks pretty good.
Do they have a Lungo size?
Head to coffee with bite's Facebook page to ask. I don't know and the owner is the best person to ask. There are a few statements on intensity there but it doesn't talk about lungo.
I am waiting to see some reviews before buying
