I've used this to recover files from a USB stick which was corrupted after being removed before unmounting. Definitely worth grabbing a free copy.

It is mentioned above, but note that this doesn't appear to have been certified for Windows 7.

It installed on Windows 7 64 bit without a problem. You can even copy the installed directory onto a USB to use it (or install directly onto the USB drive).

No problem that you know of.

      • Ooops sorry I meant to vote you up and cant undo it.

I've got it working on Win7 64bit too.

        • I tested it and it was able to recover stuff that I deleted from my second hard drive. When I delete stuff I always use the shift key to stop it going to the recycle bin, this program was able to retrieve stuff previously deleted via this method so it seems OK.

So far this seems to be the real deal and doesn't seem to be carrying any baggage - didn't even have a nag screen for feedback.

@Matt88: Well in Windows 7 you can do that without any additional software - Shadow Copy is enabled by default. Just see the Previous Versions tab on any file or folder.

  • If this is anything like RTStudio then freaking sweet to get it for nothing :)

  • NOTHING IS FREE.

  • Excellent! Thanks very much.

  • Can vouch for this software, its saved me a few times
(well, actually my friends bring their comps over when its borked, so technically its saved them)

good stuff, just grabbed a copy

  • downloaded, installed and ran. It seems to be a fully working version. No key or registration required for it to run. definitely worth a +ve
