    hardly great value

  • they look slightly better than the msy $5 stuff but since it's only 1.5 meters… it doesn't matter

  • I think you'll find the quality is quite abit better and there actualy priced very well considering this..

These are made with the larger 28AWG conductors not 30AWG like you find on most cheap cables, Have a nylon braid for extra protection so our products will last. They also use 3 layers of sheilding to cutout any interferance.

  • Huh? Lip sync?

  • Yes Lip Sync correction was included in the Hdmi 1.3 Standards.
    Reference:
    http://www.hdmi.org/learningcenter/faq.aspx#15

"Lip Sync: Because consumer electronics devices are using increasingly complex digital signal processing to enhance the clarity and detail of the content, synchronization of video and audio in user devices has become a greater challenge and could potentially require complex end-user adjustments. HDMI 1.3 incorporates automatic audio synching capabilities that allows devices to perform this synchronization automatically with total accuracy."

  • At 1.5m, are you really going to pay double and see the difference?

its kinda amusing because studies have shown the $2 hdmi cables have the exact same quality as expensive cables. This is with current technology and over a short distance

    • I think that HDMI cables should always be modded down. Seriously, if you want a HDMI cable, just go to ebay, click sort by lowest price including postage, and off you go. Or walk into an MSY. Either way, its not going to make one iota of difference for short lengths.

  • But how many studies have been done into how long these $2 cable's will last? Wouldnt exactly call a hdmi cable which is $13.95 including postage expensive tho would you?

We've had alot of installers switch to using our cables as they represent great value for money and have found to be reliable.

In what way do you not expect them to last? HDMI cables sit there, and conduct electrical current. Maybe you will have erosion if you leave it out in the wind for thousands of years? :-)

      • The shorter cable means that there is a lower chance of the dog eating it

    • sure, if you pull them in and out every 5 minutes, the cheaper cords will eventually break, but who even does that?

I was reading on gizmodo that people couldn't tell the difference between a coathanger and a monster cable.

Sorry, not dissing your store, just the market in general.

  • Sorry, no deal.
