Are you referring to the Soup Nazi of OzBargains?
Trent
Yeah I don't know why Op didn't reference Trent.
I didnt get it from Trent as I dont usually check all the list. As I said in the post I found it when I was shopping so I thought its good price and should be post it.
@msmhw: Trent had the Doritos deal in his post. Regardless where you found it, it's not original and he deserves to be credited. Just like the eBay deals, it doesn't matter if you didn't see the original post, you still have to credit that post in your deal.
@ShamelessBargains: I think OP still deserves some praise, he's not the first to accidentally forget to give credit.
We don't have any requirement to link a supermarket deal back to the original post, unlike ebay code deals or similar.
See discussion and reasoning here. Of course if an OP does source information from another post (or anywhere) then they should give credit, but that isn't the case here. Feel free to continue the discussion in that forum thread.
Thanks
@hamza23:
What's the proof op didn't see the deal in a prior post.
@ms:
As with referencing any source, internal or external it's up to the OP to disclose honestly.
@ms:
Have you heard of innocent until proven guilty?
@Gimli:
This is not a court of law.
If everyone start posting individual items from the weekly comparatron, then what is the point of those posts?
@ms:
I skimread Trent's post and I
I missed this deal.
Thanks op
@ms:
This flags specific items. It always is going to be debatable as to whether something is really outstanding to deserve a separate post.
Each to his own really. Some find the weekly comparisons useful, others single posts and others neither.
Now with the roulette pack…
I wish Grainwaves were actually healthy, after eating them every sale, all I can taste is the oil on them.
Unless the Ozbargain rules are updated to stop people posting repetitive "deals" like this, we will continue to be bombarded by individual posts dissecting the supermarket catalogues page by page, week after week.
Somebody has to take some initiative in controlling this.
And think of the children.
But seriously, sometimes the individual posts are great reminders of deals that get caught up in the weekly post.
Not always though.
The Mod Squad will sort the chaff from the wheat should we be bombarded, which can only lead to chaos…….
don't let you know who see that. :P
