Unless we see another price hike from AUD tanking. Though that'd likely to not happen in my opinion (I don't think it's going to go down significantly from here)
any different between i3 and i5? (i7 is out of budget)
Only difference spec-wise is the i5 256GB has 8GB of RAM. How the different CPUs go in daily usage I'm not sure though. Some think the i3 is slow as balls, others think the Atom in the regular Surface 3 is more than fine, so go figure.
It'd depend on your usage expectations and life expectancy of the device. For general use, I'd imagine the i3 would be more than fine. Don't forget the geek ratio on here is awfully high.
I'd grab an i5, just for the 128GB SSD. Of course, you could do fine with 64GB but, after installing OS, Office, you'd be looking at fairly small space on the SSD.
looks same deal in microsoftstore.com.au with free delivery and free returns.
http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msaus/en_AU/pdp/Surface-…Buying from Microsoft Store using Cashrewards cashback brings $64 cheaper(i5 128 GB) . cashback brings price around 5-6% cheaper..
Missing 'off' in title?
Thanks
I wish they included the keyboard
Yea, me too. And while they are at it, might as well throw in the dock. That will make me buy it. Otherwise it is another ~$400 on top of the price.
Looks like it's expired… the Surface Pro 3 i5 256GB is now $1849 at all these stores =(
Surface Pro 4 and Skylake laptops are coming before the end of the year!!!!
These will drop in price again.
