Yep, just pre-order and then on release day you price-match when you pick it up. Anything extra you've paid off above the price-match they'll just refund.

Generally yes, but there have been reports on Whirlpool of some EB stores being super fussy and refusing to price match, especially with Amiibos.
I'm so heart broken.. I pre-ordered the limited edition for $89.95. But if I price match to $79 then I loose my pre-order bonus (fridge magnets).

I'm going to try and price match on pick up day at EB (click and collect) and risk the possibility of having to pay $10 extra.
If the limited edition (most likely) sells out you will be paying a lot more than $10 extra on Fleabay :(

Price matched big w at EB on preorder. They had lots a magnet packs price tagged at $0.01. They are probably giving one away for each copy sold…

Yeah I dont normally care about amiibos so didn't even think about it but now that I realise the value I'm going to try to see if I can return and Buy at bigw. The game wasn't sealed so should be returnable.

Pre-ordered the limited version with Amiibo from JB hifi, picked up today and they price matched BigW for $69 happy with that.
Managed to price matched the classic Mario amiibo at EB Games with Kmart's $15 price.
