Not as long as previous 6 month free deals

In many respects 2 months is better, you wont have to endure there horrible program list, nor there VHS streaming quality for as long.

    • Last iPad app update mentioned 1080p was added, though for how much content I have no idea as I don't use it anymore.

      • Well, I just checked the quality of "Mr. Robot", their latest TV series, and it's dreadful. VHS quality at best…..low res, and low bit-rate. The double whammy of un-watchable video. It is so bad, I almost feel dizzy watching it.

Who in their right mind would actually pay $15 for this stuff? maybe just those on free trials who forget to cancel I'm guessing.

        • On my samsung TV everything is now in HD and about time too. Their app is still laggy as though.

Ok well taken up the offer to have a look.. How odd! Each episode shows as a different file format in the list.

Tried a few things, though not the above, and quality seemed much improved over 5 months ago though.

          @Pobman:

Yeah the file names and the descriptions are pretty amateur. Looks like they had to download new episodes from the piratebay to get the HD copies

          @Pobman:

Guys, those are the actual names of the episodes… not the file formats of the videos.

        • @ddd:

Ok, nice. I just quickly checked it on my desktop. As noted, miles from HD.

          Oh! Hahaha

  • Will it stack on top of my 6 months from Telstra Promotion https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/204097

6 months is more than enough time to come to the conclusion that Presto isn't for you anyway

      • I use it to stream tv through chrome cast. Overall is alright, but app is unbearably slow and laggy

I got the 6 months free deal and I still haven't used Presto.

If you signed up for the original deal back in March ( https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/187846 ), you are due to be billed on the 26th or 27th of this month. Yes, 6 months has passed quickly, and I haven't watched a single minute. Cancel now.

      • +1

Can you cancel immediately or only on the last month? I haven't used my 6 months code yet and tried to redeem it now, says it's still valid despite having an expiry date. Was going to redeem it soon for Mr. Robot sessions.

        • I cancelled on my last month, and it's given me access to the end of the monthly billing cycle, in my case the 26th. Whether you can cancel in the first month after applying a coupon code, and still "enjoy" the service for the remainder of the promo period, I don't know.

        • Did the code work?
I just got one from sms the deal

      • Thanks for the reminder. I haven't even used it, but I can't even login to the site now to cancel, that speaks for volumes why I haven't even used it! :)

      • I just got a code.
Says i need to use it by 3 august… Would it still work?

I subscribed for 6 months free offer but rarely used it
No support for Apple TV or PS3 is a no deal for me

    • Hasn't it got support for Apple TV now in a recent update?

    • There's still no Apple TV app however since the last App update airplay is now possible and it is in HD

  • Their apps are useless, two iphones, two Androids, and none of them can sign in. All get connection error.

After a day of free trial i was at a loss why anyone would pay money for this poorly presented b grade content hulu is better and free once you defeat the geo block and that can be done for free.

    • How do i get hulu for free?

    • Once upon a time, hulu was available in my wd live but the app doesn't exist anymore for some reason.

      • Hulu via broswer is free but to use app. Or other device you need hulu plus $7us/month or $12 for add free service. Ocassionally you will find promotions to get 3 or 6 months of free hulu plus i have plus for over a year and its cost me almost nothing. Free hulu is limited to last 3 episodes plus often has all seasons all episodes.

        • I had Hulu plus for a while and installed on kids nexus 7 with the kids only content lock on,, have since ended my paid subs and it no longer works if you login on PC etc. but the nexus 7 in the kids mode still works for kids content.

I get presto on the Telstra box and is actually really quite user friendly with seamless navigation.. But the library is tiny compared to Netflix.

  • I still have five months left and I canceled it last week, all the movies remind me of the content that was available at the old video shop where I grew up. There were many movies but nothing I would want to watch even on $2 movie day.

Presto only has Mr Robot as a good show but it was four weeks behind the states.

Parks and Rec + 30 Rock are good new additions to the Presto lineup

It could be worst, it could be 3 months of free Stan

Wish this said 2 months free Pesto like i thought it did >_<

    • Huh?

    • Ew, about as rubbish as presto

The new Presto ad makes me laugh!! I have Netflix and it is amazing value for money. We just change the country to get different shows, Presto is a joke, free or not.
