User notes:
Bought one - didn't turn on right away. Quick check over with the multimeter and one cell was reading 0V while the other circa 3.35V; protection circuit had kicked in on the 0V one so it just needed a few coulombs fed into it to read a voltage above 3.2V.
Construction appears to be good for a torch at this price, internal threads have O-rings but are not anodised so it brings down the overall feel of the torch a little. Haven't had a chance to do a complete rundown but the cells are charging nicely at 750mA, approx 4h to charge fully. Beam has a homogeneous hotspot with spill to boot, I would say this is more of a mid/medium throw torch.
Admittedly, the Cree XM-L is becoming a little superseded by the latest Cree XHP series flashlights now, but 750lm will still fare well for most applications. IAC, $49.95 for 2 protected 18650's, a charger, and flashlight host (in the event of upgrading the driver and emitter, which is easily done in this flashlight) is actually quite fair! Given of course I didn't have to wait 2-3 weeks for it to arrive from HK, and it has a 1yr Aus warranty!
Happy illuminating!
