    I'm guessing that catalog is expired but the deal is in the new catalog.. perhaps the actual promotion has an end date in the t&c's?

  Yes. I bought them for a purchase last week, bought 2 $100's and 1 $50. They didn't even show the extra 10% on the receipt so I logged in to dicksmithgiftcard.com.au while I was still in the store and made sure the extra 10% was applied.
