Free Krispy Kreme Doughnut When Using Australia Post Parcel Locker Next to 7-11 (Port Melbourne)

96

I sometimes use a parcel locker that's located next to a 7-11 store.
Since last week, each parcel I got had a voucher for a free Doughnut at the 7-11 attached.

This was at 7-11 in Port Melbourne, not sure if works at others.
Voucher is only valid in that store, expires 7 Oct 2015.

I'd rather buy the Krispy Kreme and any profits made go to their overworked and underpaid employees!

had a voucher for a free Doughnut at the 7-11 attached.

The probably pay for it from the wages of the guy behind the counter…

      • That's what I said.

We can't downvote a deal without a comment to explain why we're downvoting, so I said what you said. Thanks for the downvote for agreeing with you.

  • "They have this ad campaign with the saying 'Good Call'. And I just think to myself No! It is not a 'good call'!"

Those $1 coffees have got rave reviews though. I'm fairly certain there was an OB post about them.

This company is unethical and conducts it's business illegally. There is no good deals, only deals that are paid for by exploiting it's workers

I remember when 7-11 used to sell 50c doughnuts, now they sell the same thing for $2 but with a fancy name :(

    • …and still don't pay their workers properly. Exploiting workers is not right.

  • sorry no deal for me, not supporting 7-Eleven anymore

  • I got one once for picking up my parcel from the Liverpool 7-11 Parcel Locker but didn't get one when picking up my small parcel the othe day from the same location.

  • I love being law enforcement trained. I could see this a mile off! I've known this for years that they exploit workers.

I just figure that since no regular employer will hire me, I never said anything because I am glad they have some sort of job.

This is all very interesting but how on earth do you folks think most of your bargains happen? You think all the imported things from China are made by unexploited workers?

What about the local service providers who are consistently pressed to provide service and replacements at a loss under threat of trashing their reputation?

This faux outrage seems a mite hypocritical to me is all.
