Waiting till it gets past Fathers Day. Reckon it might hit $30 by then (my local Coles in particular is great for these 'promotional' items, being a small town in a regional area we end up getting more stock than needed, so you're almost always guaranteed to get it after the promotion at clearance prices).

    • Probably still slightly more than its worth.

It is a VERY basic blu-ray player, no smarts at all.

Don't need smarts. Every TV in the house has some sort of smart media player (either HTPC, console or HDMI stick), but don't have a way to play discs on all my TVs.

Then it's ideal for you, it's just most people expect some level of smarts on their blu-ray players (even if it's only DLNA).

    • Its $30 now.

      • Looks like I'll be popping into Coles tomorrow then. Thanks!

  • yeah, deals been around for while…
