Welcome to 2010 and happy new year everyone!
A few changes to the moderator team over here at OzBargain. First of all, the sad news.
HueyData, whom has been a moderator since late June last year, has signalled his retirement last week. HueyData has super incredible spammer/sockpuppeter detection capability, and has been a great team member to helping to grow OzBargain. His departure will be greatly missed. Well, I do hope it's just a hiatus :)
However we have found a replacement. Davo1111 is from the same town (Canberra), and has been very helpful in helping other members in his comments (currently ranked #1 in number of comments getting voted up). He will be joining the team to continue fighting the spammers, trolls, helping troubled members, and basically keep OzBargain is a useful place for everyone to discuss bargains in Australia.
My congratulations to both Lt Commander Data on a magnificent job well done, and to Davo1111 being elevated to the dizzying heights of OzBargain Moderator.
We'll all miss Huey's fantastic quality and volume of input to the site, and a hearty welcome aboard to Davo1111.
