MOTO 360 - Leather Band - $210.66 @ Kogan eBay

80
CTREAT20

Hey guys,

Just saw this deal for the MOTO 360 with the leather band (sorry). I think this is the cheapest its ever been on ozbargain. Its been cheaper before, but this is still better than retail at the now for this thing? Not the cheapest though.

Theres rumors of a second generation device, but this is still a pretty sweet price I think.
Original deal at https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/208273

EDIT: Whoops…. its the leather band. Sorry guys :( The description threw me off.

  • Wow.. About as cheap as a Pebble Time.
    Which is better?

    • Very different.

    • +2

They are different devices in many ways and can't be easily compared.

The Pebble Time's strengths are battery life measured in weeks, and support for both iOS and Android. But the feature list is relatively short, and it has fairly shallow phone integration. Uses low-res e-ink screen, with side-mounted buttons for control.

Android Wear (the OS on the Moto 360) has deep ties to the Android OS and has a much longer list of features. It can also work without a smartphone for many functions, since it can support a direct WiFi connection. Control is via LCD touchscreen. Battery life is limited to 1-2 days.

  • I'm tossing up whether to get one or not…

      It's about time.

  • Yep looks to be the cheapest, where do you see it say metal band?

  • +1

It mentions "genuine leather" - don't think this is the metal strap version.

Links to eBay site that ships from Hong Kong(not au seller? How would warranty work?). description doesn't day it's the metal band, and picture looks to be rubber band?

  • I don't think its a metal band either….

  • From Kogan's website, it appears that they don't sell the metal band version.

It's probably the 'dark stainless steel' description that threw you off, but as to everyone's guess, it's probably vanilla band version.

Anybody else still getting a price of $263.33 on the provided link?

    • Use the eBay code to reduce the price by 20%.

  • The Moto 360 MkII is expected to be announced at IFA next week, and ship from the 8th Sept. So recognise that this is EoL stock that will probably be significantly cheaper next week.
