Last week I ordered a Garmin Forerunner 620 from Rebel online. It arrived today and I took it out for a short test run tonight. After the run I was customising some of the settings on the watch and found myself in the "Activity History' section, where I discovered the device has been used before. There are activities from 17, 18, 19, 20 August - obviously not mine.
Apart from being pissed off that my device wasn't brand new, the previous workouts included heart rate data, which means the heart rate monitor has been used before. I used it tonight and now I feel gross that someone else had sweated all over it before I used it.
Am i within my rights to take it back to Rebel and say I want a brand new one? It's annoyed me further because I ordered it online (and paid postage) because I didn't want to have to go in to the store, and now I've got to go in anyway.
Yes. However, unless the terms and conditions of the sale allow you to return it to a store, you may have to mail it back to them.
You've "sweated all over it" too now.
