Just like to know what people preferred when it came to the German trio - (Audi, BMW, Mercedes) and why?
Any experience with one?
Personally I prefer Mercedes.

How about Lebanese mafia in the C and E 63s
We are on our 6th BMW now (last 15+ years). Various sizes/models. Have considered/test drove Audis & Mercs, but always ended up with another BMW…can't think of any reason to change.
Before I won lotto, I was always swapping between various models from all three. I was never completely happy. These days I just can't fault my Datsun 200b.
Go the datty! :)
Bmws have problems with the n54 and n55 engines - hpfp , water pumps , oil leaks
Audis have problems with their DSG transmissions
Merc I have yet to come across anything major
How do I know the above? I'm a car enthusiast and have owned cars from all three brands.
N54/N55's are the engines to have. You have to pay to play :)
I thought a lot of the issues with the n54 were addressed with the n55?
I have a C200 W205. It is brilliant, the stock features definitely pay for the "european tax". It is really impressive how much stuff the stock model comes with. I added the vision pack and the AMG pack, but that added to the 7 month wait. But the car has decent power, it is attractive and fuel efficient.
I am also under the impression that BMW's have issues when they get older. I have not heard anything bad about the Audi's.
I think it is the reigning medium sized luxury car of the year.

I love the new LED technology on the w205, the lights look amazing both front and rear.
Audi = newb drivers /agree - only cool Audi is an R8 :)
BMW = kewl & sporty: 1M, Z4M, M3, M4, M6, some newbie drivers in them too (I almost bought an M3, I may go an M6 on my next car!~)
Merc = typically for old people post mid life crisis or gangstas.
Great description for Mercedes.
On a serious note, I spent a little time on the track in an M235i, 435i and a few hotlaps in an M3 @ Phillip Island last year just when the 2 and 4 launched. All cars were awesome fun, I cannot recommend BMW more highly of these 3 ! :) Wasn't a BMW fanboy before the track day, but am a fan now.
I haven't driven a BMW before but I've heard that they have the best driving dynamics when it comes to the three.
Can't go wrong with either one of them… For me I prefer 1. Mercedes 2. BMW 3. Audi
Mercedes are the best. Had been. Still is. Always will.
BMW is a notch under the Mercs.
Audi is a notch under BMW.
Personally I don't like BMWs. Driven plenty of them but I prefer Lexus over BMW. The Audis are getting better and better. So Mercedes is my choice.
I find audi are worst drivers out of the 3
BMW have problems with QC
Mercedes are nicer driver except Russian mafia in AMG 6.3 black ones
