  • Sorry for my n00bness, what's the difference between HK stock and Aus stock? Just the location?

    • +1

They are same and both comes with AU warranty service. Just the location different, and cause the shipping time different.

      • Hi Rep, can you please clarify what it means by "AU warranty service"? Am I correct to assume that the stock is grey import (whether they are HK stock or Aus stock) and Shopping Square will provide the warranty service rather than it being a manufacturer’s warranty from Sandisk Australia?

        • regarding the AU stock, they are mixed with different AU SanDisk suppliers depend on the stock status and offer.
Both of the stocks are supported by SanDisk international warranty and AU seller back to base support. For more SanDisk product warranty information please the link below.

Any deal on older Full sized SDHC cards?

    • Let me work it out

Any ETA on the 128GB versions?

    • +1

We are still waiting for it, hope to have it in 1 or 2 week time.

      • Hey Danilochan - Any chance that when you bring the 128GB it can be on your ebay store so we can use the $50 ebay voucher from click and collect deal?

        • Sure, we will put it in our eBay store once it's available.

  • There is also a SIM cutter on special , handy to have.

    • Only needed one twice. Free scissors, 5 minutes.

    • Cost me my brand new phone when the cut sim damaged the sim card reader inside of phone. Manufacturer did not honor warranty. Saving a few bucks cost me hundreds of bucks. I'd avoid these things.

  • Would grab a USB but they'd get lost so easily with me :(

    • great for car headunits.

  • Great price for the ultra fit.

  • Good, quick USB, carry it in my wallet. Be careful as they get really hot and it can literally burn your fingers.

  • Great- I ordered one yesterday at $36 (but haven't paid yet via bpay). Could I cancel my order and order at this price?

I contacted customer support already- order number View

    Thanks

    64B @ $71.95

Wow, that's the lowest-capacity card I've ever seen!

    • -3

Are you new? That is not a microsd card.

  • Amazon has 64gb Samsung EVo's for $30 aud shipped..No deal on sd cards.

  • $1 more is the SanDisk Extreme SDCZ80 which has faster speeds and doesn't fry your USB ports from overheating.

    • Somehow i can't even add it to cart….

      • out of stock in most places. You gotta backorder it.

    • This USB drive doesn't overheat

    • +1

Also- this is a physically much bigger drive. But its a lot faster (size trade-off)

Not suitable for a key-ring OS

    • This is important!
The 128Gb SanDisk Ultra Fit i got from Amazon in the prev deal gets HOT during transfers, like REALLY hot. When plugged in but not in use it is not a problem, but this makes them probably less suitable for continuous read applications (i think?).

      • Is this a serious issue? I mean, not so much for my fingers, but more so for the drive, USB slot or even PC?

        • +1

The lowest temperature spec for memory chips is commercial spec, 0 to 70 degrees centigrade.

I have the 64G version of this drive, mine has never been hotter than 50 degrees. As a rule of thumb, if something reaches 50 degrees, you won't be able to hold it for more than a few seconds. I could hold mine continuously with a little bit of discomfort.

I did find that some of the heat is from the computer, it runs cooler on a short USB3 extension cable. Some laptops make their USB ports quite hot, maybe because they are beside the CPU's exhaust air. If you put this drive into one of those USB ports, then I think it could get quite hot.

          Here's a cheap USB3 16cm extension cable:
          http://www.buyincoins.com/item/47943.html
I use one all the time. Stops me from accidentally snapping my full-size USB sticks in half, when I brush against the front of my PC, which sits on the floor.

        • @Russ: Thanks for the informative reply.

Sounds like its not too much of an issue(even without using that little extension cable). As long as it's not doing damage to any components or itself, I'm not really concerned .

  • Waiting for 256gb nano's!

  • any possibility of a deal on this rep? :D thanks http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_416340_Samsung_64GB_EVO_P…

    • Check out storeagereview for the evo plus. It has faster read but the write is basically the same as the evo, or worse - of you want fast write speeds go with something else.

I will work out a deal later

  • this is quite nifty, I got one from the last deal and love it! Thanks rep!

Please do not throw away the packaging. Note all products sold by these sellers are genuine.(They may not even realise they are selling fakes) I had an issue with sandisk card, Sandisk requested a clsoe up photo and confirmed it is not their stock. They wanted the invoice and seller details. The seller- (Shopping Square) wanted to return the item with original packing.
Since I did not have the orginal packling I could n't send it back to claim the warranty.
Regarding the SIM adpator- Do not use them in new phones. The SIM tray pins could get damaged while inserting or ejecting and that will be an expensive
    exercise.

  • Just got mine- and sh*t it gets hot! It's in my laptop- not wanting to risk damaging it. Or maybe its just because everyone's been saying it- that I'm noticing it.

Can anyone link me to articles which say it can 'melt'your laptop?

This will be my Portable operating system drive…

    • I made a comment earlier about it getting hot.
A couple of months on and the plastic divider on the inside has completely melted out and can't be read by most computers.
I'm about to warranty the USB.
