I personally buy regular Cola instead of diet cola when buying home brands. The sweetener they use is pretty poor compared to name brands.

If this is available in SA then it is an especially good deal, as you can recycle the cans and get $2.40 back, effectively making the price $2.60/24, or just under .11c a can!

It is in fact available for all the coles varieties (not sure the availability in all stores, but the Doncaster, VIC store has all of them).
Varieties include normal Cola, Orange, Lemon, Lemonade etc (Just naming the names that i remember off the top of my head, but all the varities are $5 for 24)
