    I was a regular somewhat happy customer for many years. Till I hit the warranty refund bug of CPL two weeks ago. It was only tales that I've read on whingepool, productreviews womo etc. I was even quick to defend them as they handled my previous warranty a couple of times OK. Then I asked for a refund on a DOA item worth a few hundred bucks. Tides turned and the ehole manager at the Spencer St branch got so nasty it was worthy of a Current Affair coverage. THe most annoying thing was when I complained to COnsumer affairs they told me I had to take them to vcat. So even the law makes it hard to pursue thats why theyve gotten away with this for a long time. I have since given the faulty part to a colleague to get its warranty done.

    I am now more than happy to let my people know of my foul experience with CPL and now shop elsewhere where I know my money is worth something for the service they provide. Oh and respect the Australian Consumer Laws.

    • Agree. Foul experience too - ordered an item that was advertised as in stock, then no communication from them. When I called, was told none available in Aus, item was discontinued and was made to feel that it was my fault for ordering something that they said they had. Took a Paypal complaint for them to refund my money.

      Meanwhile, I ordered exactly the same item from Warehouse1, who immediately confirmed availability while I was online, and processed order instantly. Item arrived at my house in 1/2 the time they quoted. Warehouse1: Some of the best customer service I've ever had.

      Wouldn't touch CPL ever again…
