Most of the previous deals have been on Piston 3. The difference I could find from Piston 3 is that youth version does not include the gift box or the replaceable earbuds.

  • The youth ones are also volume limited as I understand it. I haven't bought these (yet) so I can't confirm if these are the same.

  • These are different from the New Pistons, but not too disimilar.
Sound fine to my ears, I have issues with the mic on the Xiaomi's, but I'm not buying them for calls.
These have a different fit and finish to the New Pistons (sometimes called Piston 3's), could be the same drivers and mostly same design, the headphones are similar but not the same.

  • Quick google search suggests they use the same driver. And a few comments on random forums suggest that it might also be less bass heavy (but unsure on this).

Anyone care to comment on how legit geekbuying is (in terms of sale of genuine products)?

    Detailed review here

  • Got a pair.
Already have (and love) the P3's.
    Thanks

  • Still love my Piston 2's, I want to buy 3's but … so many headphones already.

  • 5% coupon also available if you register a new account. (Brings it down another US40c )

  • the youth ones are clearly physically different from the normal ones. i'm guessing the build quality is lower (and sound quality i dare say)

Also available from Gearbest at US$7.99.

Keen to buy a pair but wondering whether to go with Gearbest or Geekbuying.
I've purchased a number of items from Gearbest previously and they've always arrived eventually - although in some cases it's taken over 50 days!
Would be interested to hear more about other peoples experiences with Gearbest and Geekbuying before deciding which way to go.

    • Purchased VR headset from Gearbest 12 July. Shipped from China last week, advised to expect 25 to 40 days. Tracking number invalid.
Doesn't look good. I lodged a ticket at about purchase +14 days, g\b said my nicotine vape was pending.
      They are incompetent.
Won't be buying through them again.

  • Them dam youth.

  • Even cheaper on banggood at the moment - US$7.89 (AU$11.10) http://www.banggood.com/Original-XIAOMI-Piston-3-Youth-Earph…

  • fake

  • Fake item, bought two from this deal, both got static sound and the remote always trigger the voice control on iPhone

    • Which buttons specifically trigger voice on the iPhone? iOS only has partial support, so only the play/pause button will work.

Stupid question I know… but are you sure it's pushed in all the way and can you test it with anything else? Could have potentially got a dodgy batch.
