Best Laptop under $700

Hello Ozbargainers,

Looking for a good value quality laptop to replace my Toshiba of 5 years.

Main requirements
- compact , 15.6" and under but preferably around 12"
- No less/slower than fourth or fifth generation Intel i5 or i7
-minimum 4gb ram
- budget is around 500 dollars but happy to spend up to $700 for a superior product

I've had a look at centrecom and msy but not sure if there is a good special out there or better laptops

Hoping it to last me another 5 years
Would really appreciate any advice

  or if you want a buy a brand new one make sure you are a student of a university or teacher and head to Lenovo student website.

  Dell is more preferable however as the current Lenovo Edge laptops seem to have fairly dim screens.

Thanks guys - appreciate it - they don't have any items in the factory outlet right now , but I will keep an eye on the website .

Also what do you guys think of the Toshiba S40 its around $600 dollars
