Pretty straight forward, I need to park from 7:30 AM till 1:30PM this Friday and I dont want to spend any money on parking. Which is closest street which allows free parking for full day?

EDIT: The road that runs along there looks like it could offer free parallel parking..
If you can get in and out within 6 hours, you can park at crown. $6 for the first 6 hours, $8 for 6-9 hours…
Is the train an option? (personally) so much easier and less stressfull. Also free train travel prior to 7am (7.15am technically) and free tram travel in cbd.

What were you thinking for the final leg of your journey, tram, train, bus, walk ?
If train, what line were you favouring ?

Any extra information would probably be helpful as different people would have better knowledge of different locales.You should probably leave now if you've got to take kings way exit. That exist is still closed given that tower crane that has tried to mimic the leaning tower of piza.
The Vic Market is fairly cheap for parking, but not free.
Yeah have fun with that.
