Received a flyer in my Iconic parcel for a $50 wine voucher.

  • Code: ICON2235
  • Password: JNW15PJ3

It's for new customers only, and a miniumum of 6 bottles is required. Not to be used in conjunction with any other offers.

Free Next day delivery is currently available to Greater Sydney and Melbourne Metro addresses for Angels if ordering by 3pm.

I had two flyers and both had the same code and password, so doesn't appear to be a targeted code/password. Similar to previous deal.

  • Got one with my mag subs and seemed unique but guess not. Anyone tried their wines before? any good? Some bottles are below $10 so even with the min spend it's a great deal

Ordered three boxes, all wines very pretty good!

    • could you link the ones below $10? or is that just for the angel members.

I've had 2 cases delivered so far. Whilst they are essentially unknown wineries and their reds are quite young, I have had no complaints from myself and plenty of compliments from guests. Normally I would not serve risky wines to guests but on the occasions that I have mentioned I am signed up to Naked Wines and explained their business model, people usually want to give one a go.

If you use a referral (or this deal) and get a low cost intro case, you are outlaying very little money to be exposed to a wide variety of very passionate winemakers. I ended up signing up to be an Angel and got even more free and low cost bottles during that process.

    • Their wines are decent

    • We have been buying them for the last 8 months or so.

Really great wines for the price, with enough variety to keep me interested.

Is it worth paying $25-30 for 6 of the cheapest wines delivered? Not a wine drinker, just wondering if they are worth buying as a gift. So i'm clueless.

    • +1

If you're giving to people you don't care for a great deal, then sure. Otherwise you risk being 'the person who bought the bottle that gets re-gifted', and re-gifted, and re-gifted…

      • +1

That's the in laws xmas gifts done… :)

        • +2

          And yours the christmas after…

        • @carwashhair: if you know my in laws.. they'd drink goon. Bottle will be empty before it hits the table for xmas lunch. No chance of seeing that grog again.

    • If you are giving wine as a gift, you are better off waiting for a well known brand to be posted on OzB and buying that; usually under a mystery case type deal. This way when the recipient checks how much you spent, they think you forked out $40 when you only paid $8.

    • it's definitely worth it

  • I think the codes are unique. Just tried it and got an error message that the codes belong to another customer.

    • Are you a new customer?

  • They're not bad wines. There's no Chateau d'Cardboard or Vino Collapseau there but we're not in HHoG or Grange territory either. Decent table wine with a few interesting ones tucked away.

Wine is fairly priced for what it is and they're very good at refunds/replacements if you get a dodgy one or it really doesn't suit your taste. Just watch out for the monthly wine club payment option when you order.

  • Their reds are wine but their whites aren't particularly great.

    • +3

      Their reds are wine

You'd bloody well hope they are!

      • Had a brain fart when I posted that :P

  • Think if you are using it as table wine rather than a special occasion wine its fine by the sounds of it, I've belonged to other wine clubs in the past and have cancelled. Really bad wines I can use for cooking or mulled wine.

    • +1

It's really nothing like a wine club, which is 'sell off all the old/unpopular/excess crap to dummies'. It's essentially Kickstarter for small batch producers.

  • Very good wine from them. I have delivery from them every 2 months as member. Unfortunately people love those big label for gifts, so this is for self drinking ONLY. Do not give these wines as gift unless you want to lose your friends.

    • +1

Hmm… Ordered a case. There's a few people I could stand to lose, and a bottle might soften the blow.

  • Winemakers include Daryl Groom (Worked as the senior white and red winemaker at Penfolds, his 1986 Penfolds Grange was arguably one of the top 3 Granges ever made); Jen Pfeiffer (Australian 2009 Young Winemaker of the year and from a well known wine producing family); Stuart Pym (West Australian legend, man behind Vasse Felix, Voyager Estate and Stella Bella just to name a few).

Each wine from NakedWines has its own custom label, you cannot get it anywhere else. Prices range from $9 to $50 per bottle. (Or $13 to $70 for non members). I have been happy with wines I have purchased. Some cheaper ones have been surprisingly good.
