Kogan cheaper (unless in WA), and has been promoted as Aussie stock/Aussie warranty…

    • My Kogan SG6 is on the way. Tracking says it's from HK, so I hope it's AU stock, but I have my doubts. Plus when I went back and read the fine print it says it may be Vodafone branded (hope I can flash it to stock), so this might still be a deal.

Are they branded OP? (For others benefit obviously)

Kogan deal is good $892 for Vic, but for $7 more delivered I'd rather buy it from a oz store if I was buying

      • Our price includes GST. If you buy it via business or travelling overseas soon, it may come cheaper when you claim the GST back.

The handset may have Vodafone branding, however there is no marking on the box / body of the phone.

Wait, hold up, may have?? How about being upfront…

I have one of the Vodafone handsets (Aus stock) and there are no Vodafone markings on it. Even the start up screen says Samsung, not Vodafone like the older range of SGS2 & SGS3. The only hint of Vodafone are in the apps and in the software CSC version.

Just opened 1 to know exactly, no logo marking on the box, no logo marking on the body, no vodafone boot up logo.
The only hint is "myvodafone & vodafone" in Apps.

Thanks Op, still a good price, and completely unrelated,, nice price on the g3

    • Yes, LG G3 is OK price at $429, but beware it is the 2GB RAM/ 16GB ROM model, some reports say it lags a bit vs the 3GB RAM/ 32GB ROM model.

      • Ah, thanks for that info. I was focused on the camera, not a real power-user here. :)

        • my son has the Oz version of the G3 (2gig) , he has no problems with lag and he is a heavy user - instagram, snapchat, facebook and flicking from app to app constantly.

camera takes great photos, night time is fantastic.

we paid $400 (around that) from mobileciti (not mobicity, diff store and not good)

  • Thanks for the feedback, always good to hear first hand experiences from ozbargainers..

  • I've seen three different deals around the same price for an "Australian" GS6 128GB and they all seem to have the Vodafone CSC on them. They're all great deals, I'm just curious as to where they came from and how places like Kogan (normally grey importers) happened upon them.. Most unlocked Android phones I see come with the XSA (generic Australia CSC) and not a carrier one. Anyone got any ideas?
