Anyone know where the best place in Fiji is where there are a lot of tourists (or where tourists mainly go) and a good place to be? People with experience please share

Denarau Island is where the majority of the tourists go. There are a few resorts right next to each other such as the Westin, Raddison, Sheraton, Sofitel and Hilton.
The Westin, Raddison and Sheraton all allow you to use each others facilities no matter what hotel you use. I really really really recommend the Westin unless you are with small children in which case the Sheraton is more family orientated. But with kids comes noise which is why I prefer the Westin. It's really nice with a blend of traditional and modern settings which combine perfectly to offer a relaxing holiday.
Denarau Port is close by and this is where all the tourists go for food/drinks and night entertainment.
While the resorts are very good, they tend to offer the same experiences that most other tropical resorts will offer. To really experience Fiji the small islands is where I really love to visit.
Where are good places to stay on other smaller islands?
I think go to the Yasawas and stay on the island for a couple of nights. I went to a bunch of islands in the Mamanuca group and only one in the Yasawa group (barefoot Kuata) and I would have much rather stayed one night on Kuata than visit the other 3 I did. Very professional, clean and the island was great. Only problem is the coral at all the island I visited was mostly dead. If snorkelling is what you're after you might have to do some extra research.
Why do you want to be with other tourists? They are mostly in the resorts, if you're looking for them. Go to the small islands, the beaches on the Viti Levu, the main island, are poor.
