Ironfall 3Ds 2ds Eshop $0. Potential Homebrew Coming

140

This most likely has been posted before, but just today smea (creator of the cubic ninja hack) tweeted about a potential homebrew hack where this game is required. when the cubic ninja hack was released the game was removed from eshop shortly after. so i just thought i would share it whether it be your interested in a free game or the homebrew.
homebrew has yet to be completed but the game is required.
credit goes to smea

  • Probably belongs in the forums, but this is good to know.
Homebrew adds a lot of value to the system.

    • sorry, im relatively new to this. but will keep in mind for the future :)

Nice to know thanks for posting.
I just wish it was a physical cartridge I could buy.
Currently using Regionthree via web crash to play my Australian games on an NTSC 3ds atm but want to get an XL or "New" XL but those Cubic ninja carts pricing are outrageous.

    • i was trying to hunt down cubic ninja for a while but couldnt justify the price. physical beats digital hands down :)

      • agreed, Thats why I love my vita so much all region free excluding DLC which I choose to not support anyhow. Now if nintendo would just get off it's high horse and make things Region free on their respective platforms once again I'd be happier with them. Sigh Region free ds games was such a nice thing. I think I imported at least 6 titles from overseas a few not even in a language I understand. Such a shame to see them put it back up on their current gen consoles.

    • Gateway or sky card are pretty cheap

      • Will this allow one to play their 3DS backups? If so, what's an average price for one of these carts?

        • Yes it will and they go for about $80.

        • @Sage: nah Sky is $102.50 plus postage in Australia. Even more to import.

Advantage of Sky is that it works on any firmware up to current.

        • @Where's_That_Cake:

Including 9.9? Website only says 9.8

I'm currently debating what to do. I have a 3ds on 5.1 and a n3ds on 9.0. The thing is, I'd like to transfer my mario kart 7 license from the 3ds to n3ds but not sure if it's worth updating for.

Quite happy to pay for a gateway/sky - which is better?

I'm a tard I suppose because I collect games (ie: buy rather than do the wrong thing) but I'm also a geek who likes to be able to do everything 'just because' (eg: I just installed a game recorder and wireless hdmi sender that cost a couple hundred and waste a bit of electricity, but I will probably never ever use either of them)

I'm thinking I should just buy a hard copy mario kart 7. It's just that the ozbargainer in me says it's an old game and shouldn't still be so bloody expensive. Especially when I already own a soft copy.

        • @justtoreply: yes 9.9 included. I'm using it now on latest fw.

Eshop access requires latest system update so I assume the potential homebrew takes this into account?

im hoping so. no word of conformation on that as of yet from the original source . my 3ds was already up to date so it was a no brainer for me to just dl. but i can see your distress.take the risk and update or wait for homebrew to reach your current firmware version? sorry i cant answer that yet though

  • Thanks, just grabbed it.

Seems like you'll need OOT to get this working though.

  • Ninjhax 2.0 supports the latest firmware from what I read or have I got it all wrong. Even 9.9xxxx.
