  • Cricketers Arms most def. (mid-strength) Correction.

Must admit waiting a month between drinks, so to speak, is annoying. Thirsty Camel's Hump Club deals are once a week (Valid Wednesday through to Friday midnight), and they have whole slabs, rather than 6 packs. I don't know why nobody bothers to promote them here.

Eg. This week a Heineken Case is 44.95, but Club Membership price is $39.95.

The month wait thing is ok if you have something you like on special. I've enjoyed the 4 x rebellion bay 6% at $12 through July. Thats why I was in earlier, stocking up with another 5 packs of them. 3 on my card, 2 on the wifes :)

Not much there tickling my fancy this month. Maybe the Atomic Pale Ale

  • +3

Yeah I'll give that and the Gage Roads Atomic a whirl I reckon. Thanks OP

    Oh dan, oh dan…

    you are the man…

    whose name rhymes with stan.

    i hope you don't get a ban

or i don't get the pan.

Groan. I xxxxing hate pale ales. That peaty citrussy xxxx that suddenly every xxxxing Brewer decided was awesome. And I guess the kirin is brewed under license somewhere other than Japan.

    • +11

Sounds like you prefer Queensland's XXXX

      • Couldn't pay me to drink that. If DM had a 6 pack of XXXX where they paid you $10 to take it I'd pass.

I like darker beers, but don't mind some of the milder beers. Just can't take pale ales.

        • how did you find the samuel adams Mobe? Fair amount of meat on that beer.

    • +6

And what would you prefer to pale ales? (so I can construct an adequate response to your complaint ;) )

I just wish some ipa's would pop up on that $10 list

      • +11

I'm waiting for a 6-pack of Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA to hit $10….

        • Highly doubt it.

        • Considering it costs more than that I'm California I wouldn't hold your breath ;)

        • +2

Just picked a sixer of it up for $9 at my Dan Murphys. Close to expiry. Also picked up a 6 pack of Monteiths Bohemian Pils for $9.25, Mash Copy Cat AIPA 4 pack for $8. Gotta love the demographics of my store, not much market for craft beer and consistently great specials on short dated stock.

        • +1

@cavanor: the nearest Dans to me is in Bogania. yet they rarely of crafts marked down.

        • And I'm waiting for a 6-pack of Grand Ridge Moonshine Dark Scotch Ale to hit $10….

        • @DrPayne1990:

And I'm waiting for a 6-pack of Grand Ridge Moonshine Dark Scotch Ale

Yum, I still have a couple of bottles hidden away…

        • @altomic: Don't tell me I've got a local 3155er near me!!

      • I'd love to see a stout for once on their deal. Or even a dark ale or something other than some form of pale ale… :)

    • Well…easy…You just don't have to buy rolls eyes

    • Let's have yet more bland watery eurolagers, or maybe some aussie lagers that taste like rusty water.

and not sure where "peaty" comes into the picture with pale ales.

But don't worry, atomic pale ale is pretty bland and flavourless.

  • Are these instore only or will I be able to get cashrewards back on them too?

    • +1

      Both

  • 6pk of Kirin Beer 330 ml bottles - $10 -hopefully brewed in Japan.

    • +1

Brewery - Brewed under licence in Australia

      • +3

We need more imported beer, real imports!!

        • Why?

        • +5

@jv: it's the vibe of the thing.

        • +4

          @jv:

Because they taste like they are meant to, not some bastardised attempt at brewing it under licence

        • @jv:

          Imports taste loads better mate

        • +4

          @Twisty:

          Imports taste loads better mate

You should visit more of our local breweries…

I was at Red Hill Brewery a few weeks back. Leaves a lot of imported beers for dead…

        • @jv: have tried a few of their beers and must agree. Loved them!

        • +4

          @jv:

          Didn't mean that

I ment imported version versus brewed here underi license

        • @SBOB:

Anything that's brewed under licence is no better than a counterfeit product. They just have approval to do it without prosecution

Box o' leg-openers for the mrs!

    Happy Days

    • lmao

    • +1

Your mrs drinks? You lucky, lucky man!!!

      • Cider is on special in August

  • Anyone care to comment on "Gage Roads Atomic Pale Ale"?

    • Better than the yenda they had last month for sure

      • Both Yendas tasted the same. ;-)

        • +1

Both Yendas don't taste the same but neither are great either…atleast for me.

    • +1

Worth it for $10. Not much more. Certainly better than Kosciusko Pale Ale which I thought was an exceedingly average beer. Cricketers Arms not bad for a commercial mass brewed beer.

  • +1

these deals are live now but no sign of the following in the mydans list but it shows it when you search for it

6pk Gage Roads Atomic Pale Ale bottles - $10"

    • Simply search Gage Roads Atomic and it's there for $10 a pack.

      • Isn't that what I wrote?

  • +1

Back to shit beer this month. I enjoyed the Sam Adams last month (while it lasted) and the Hop Thief the month before though.

    • Admittedly I haven't had the Journeyman, but the Gage Road was very ordinary. The Kirin maybe drinkable if near frozen. ;-)

      • +1

And while your eyes are closed so you can't tell what you're drinking! lol

        • Kirin is my least fav japanese beer i noticed someone had asahi for $48 a case, not amazing value but a mans got to drink…bring back those hops theif specials. Drinking the cheap becks this month is sapping my will to live.

        • @sonicentropy:
The 500ml Asahi BREWED IN JAPAN cartons are pretty well available. The bottles are all the brewed in Australia/UK/somewhere else in Asia…

  • I just hope they have those beers in the fridge, and they keep them stocked up.

  • Woollies have a special on Fat Yak for $12 a six pack if you do your groceries with them. I thought that was pretty good. This months Dan offers are pretty abysmal.

  • Gage Road Atomic is disappointing.

  • I cant see Gage Roads Atomic in my list of offers :(

    • It's not but if you search for it normally the mydans deal price will show uo

  • +1

Another nice drop korean Hite Dry 24 pack for $31 goes well with spicy food from DM

    • Korean Lagers are great. Better for Summer though.

  • Got 2 six packs of the Kirin. Avoid. I repeat, ABORT! DO NOT BUY. Only a real nasty piece of work would enjoy this beer. I'm talking a downright evil bastard.

  • When do we get the preview of Septembers Deals then?
