          I walked in to my local Harvey Norman today and they wouldn't give me the 65" at $2299.

          Said it was too close to their net cost. The sales guy escalated to some manager, who said no.

          @surftiger: Oh wow, the sales guy said it was basically cost price, but i was skeptical. Glad to know he wasn't kidding. - I had previously purchased a surround sound system and other appliances through this sales person, so maybe he twisted the managers arm being i'm a regular customer.

      Hey mate go back to the store and ask for a manager, get them to put through on the tills the 55w800c and scan 2 $50 google cards and apply the "mix and match" and they both come through at $0. I tried this morning at work and it works !

    Jb hfi is only doing $100 of google credit i just tried it in the system for the 55w800c and just emailed head office to put it on the website.

    I bought one of the 65" yesterday. A number of places wouldn't match PeteZaHut's $2299, so I had to ring around to find a store that would.

    The local Bing Lee did and also included:
    $100 Google play gift card
    $230 Sony gift card (10% off TVs > 50" at Bing Lee)
    A Chromecast.

    Is there much of a difference between the KDL75W850C ($5496) and the Sony KD75X8500C ($6496)??

    Is one 4K and one just standard HD?
