  • Did anyone buy the Superstar Red Favourites from a recent WineMarket deal? I can't seem to find it on the winemarket site.

How much overlap between these cases?

  • +2

RRP for wines could be very mis-leading. There are dozens of similar companies out there, everyone is saying their mix case is worth $200+, but discounted to 70-100. Do you actually believe that ?

      Do you actually believe that?

Rhetorical question? Of course no one believes in RRP on OzBargain. I was merely copying down what has been stated on the website.

But your name carries weight here, and may be seen to endorse deceptive and misleading conduct, as defined by the ACCC.

These wines are house brands that are selling near their normal price, and have never been sold at anywhere near the fictional RRP.

  • not much of a wine drinker here but i buy them for presents.

    are they any good?

    really interested in getting them.

I have tried most of these before as part of a mixed pack and while drinkable they certainly were not great. I don't believe they are worth any more than they are selling for in this deal. Most of them are Woolworths brands, meaning that Woolworths set the RRP. The wines are pretty much equivalent to cleanskins in that you can't tell which vineyards actually produced them. I think Dan Murphy's cleanskins are as good for the price.

      • I am not very discouraged to buy them.

The last thing I wasn is a cheap bottle of wine to give away.

        Thanks for taking the time

        • These would be a poor gift except for a very modest "thank-you".
I think the quality is very good for the price, but it is quaffing red, not savouring.
I quite liked the Malindi Shiraz and both the Rooks Lane wines. But we should really be comparing against cask wine at these prices, not premium wine brands.

TBH, they are all very young wines. So I wouldn't use them for a present. Think Vinomofo for that.
But buy some cheaper cuts of meat, put them in a slow cooker with one of these reds….

Agreed. These are wines suitable for unceremonious drinking along with a meal, not to impress the in-laws. And under $5.50 a bottle, plus cash rewards(!) it is a pretty sharp price.
I'll hold off though, as there is a good chance of $25 off some time in the next 4 weeks.
