[Melbourne, VIC] Secure Parking $29 for $60 Credit or $49 for $100 Credit @ Deals.com.au

420

$29 for $60 worth of credit or $49 for $100 worth of credit for prepaid bookings at Secure Parking car parks in Melbourne.

Credit valid until the 31st December 2015.

On the occasions I need to park in the city, I prefer Secure Parking as its easy to reserve a spot and normally pretty cheap.

  • so how is the credit applied? to your Secure parking account as a balance?

  • +2

Confirmed credit applied to your account and don't have to be in Melbourne. Can be used on any secure parking in Australia via SecureAspot online

    • Really? I'm tempted to buy but its a bit of a gamble if it doesn't work

      • +1

It works. I bought for my Vic trip this year. But I just used the credit for an early bird booking in Adelaide. I reckon it works for all. The credit is more like a gift card adding to your account.

  • Just wondering.
I still have some credit left in my account from the last deal valid till September. Does it extend the expiration date of the current credit if I buy new credit from this deal?

    • +1

No, when you click your account, each code you redeemed is separated with its own expire date

      • Thx for the info.

  • Does the credit have to be used in 1 transaction?
Or can i book $8 parking 7 times for example?

    Thanks!

    • +2

you can use it for as many transactions as you want

      • Thanks! Bought one.

        Edit:
Don't worry, found a place to put the credit.
Under "My Account" and "Manage My Gift Cards".

        Woohoo!

Warning: I had a bad experience yesterday where the online booking pin didn't work for the car park at 59 Lonsdale St. It didn't just happen to me, it happened to the car ahead of me as well.

With the queue of cars piling up behind us and horning us, we were really tempted to just take a casual ticket and just "suck it up". I estimate the whole "nervous episode" lasted about 3 minutes.

Fortunately, we persevered and kept pressing the "assistance" button until a person just let us in for free.

When it was time to leave, an employee was already on standby letting people out for free - so the management of Secure Parking knew their IT systems had some fault with their booking systems.

    • You are lucky you can find someone to help. Last time i entered the car park and there's absolutely no one space. No response from intercomm. Cars piled up and jamed inside the car park.

    • Yea that happened with me yesterday as well. However, I park in the city twice a week, and that was the first time. So overall, I'm very happy with their service. The fact that they let us in and out no questions asked was well done too (albeit the 3 min nervous breakdown :P)

  • Same you can't purchase more than 1 x $100

Voucher is valid for one car and cannot be split or shared
Members can use one voucher for themselves and one as a gift for a different recipient
Only one voucher may be used per transaction

Or has anyone managed to get around and buy multiple buckets of credits?

    • +4

FYI - when you make a booking, they don't ask for car regos. I, along with "the missus and my 4 kids" each, have a Secure Parking account and we've purchased and used the credits without any drama.

    • Just set up a few accounts with different emails.

My partner and I both have an account and have (with the previous similar offer and this one) both bought the $100 for $49 offers and used them for the same car.
Paid with the same Paypal account too.

Valid till date is a deal breaker for me.

  • can anyone confirm this can be used in Syd?

    • Yes can be used anywhere. It's just prepaid credit.

  • Can anyone confirm if you have a choice to use the credit or direct pay?

I know it may sound strange but when I park for work, they can pay the regular rate, whilst I keep the deal for my personal use (family days out)

      Hi GLO,

It looks like it will automatically deduct from the voucher credit first, so you do not have the option to pay with credit card if you still have sufficient credit balance.

A workaround for this is to create a separate account where you will redeem this credit voucher and use this account for your private use.

    • Just create a new account for work. :)

  • Is it possible to stack with promo codes?

    • Just checked, looks like you can :)

      • which promo code are you using? care to share plz :)

        • @JJlikes2eat:

Ohhh right I thought you meant there was an extra discount code when purchasing this $29/$49 voucher which bring it down as opposed to discount codes when actually locking in your car park.

The credit has disappeared from my account - I haven't used it as there has been plenty of free parking vouchers. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

    • +2

Yes, I have just checked to see and I've noticed the same thing, can't seem to find it anywhere!

      • DODGY! I have dropped Secure Parking an email about this!

        • +1

Good luck - I emailed them on another matter and never got a response. Also they don't answer their phones if you try to call them.

I've submitted a support request to deals.com.au - lets see what happens.

        • @matt_will_fix_it:

My balance is back - Deals.com.au referred me to secure parking. I didn't contact Secure Parking but my credit is back in my account. So all good now.

      Dodgy!

Same thing! I called the customer service team last night, they told me to call the head office, which I did this morning.

All he could offer was to tell me to email them about the problem and tell them approx how much I think I should have in my account with proof of purchase for the voucher!!

Seriously unacceptable. had this been their bank accounts, I'm sure they will also be rather angry if their bank account balance dropped to $0 overnight without any explanation.

      • +1

My balance has also disappeared. I filled out a complaint in the contact us form.
Let us know how you go with customer service, thanks.

  • Received this reply back

I apologize that your credit is no longer displaying on your account, we had a system error yesterday that removed the gift cards. You would still have credit and we are currently in the process of reloading the amount to your account. To assist in the process would you be able to email a copy of the gift voucher to [email protected] as well as the amount you believe was left on your account. This way we can match your information with the information in our system.

    • Good news, my gift card credit has been reinstated.

      • nice. I have no idea why i'm looking at this deal again

        • maybe the same reason as me…. hearing about losing your credit
