Just tried to do the Tell Coles survey as my last discount voucher expired yesterday.
Got to the end as usual but it did not give me the option to get the voucher or the 500 points.
Anybody else having the same problem?

You have to agree to further questions before it will give you that option.
Bummer. I've not had to do that before. Roughly how many further questions are there?
Usually not that many, sometimes they ask you if you noticed a particular promo. Recently they ask if you want to join an optional forum.
yes,
just done.
Did not join the forum and it took an extra 2 minutes.
Any benefits in joining the forum?@maxi: No idea, no time for that. Let us know if you find out.
On a side note, and mods please remove this comment if it is in breach of this site's rules, would someone be allowed to start a shared cloud folder and post a link to it on OzBargain, so that if people do the survey and get the $5 off voucher there is a way of sharing it with others? I've tried sharing the voucher on OzBargain before but the post was removed because of the request from Coles. For example it wouldn't be hard to setup an anonymous mega.co.nz share folder and then get people to pm to request access.
I appreciate the legalities of the situation, but it's an idea I was tossing around recently to save everybody's time. I also appreciate that such a situation would not be entirely fair to Coles but in all honesty my TellColes surveys aren't exactly the most useful feedback for them… usually all 5's and 'no feedback'.
Just a thought
@PBG: I think the voucher is targeted as it's linked to your Flybuys account so it's no use to anybody else.
Is this new? The numerous vouchers shared on OzBargain 18mths+ ago all worked across different FlyBuys accounts, and the last $5 off vouchers I had (June 2015) worked on both of my family's FlyBuys accounts.
In fact, now that I think about it deeper I don't think you don't even need a FlyBuys number in TellColes.com.au to obtain the $5 voucher (only need FlyBuys card number to get the 500 points I think???) and certainly at the register you don't need a FlyBuys card in order to obtain the $5 discount.
@PBG: I'm not talking about all vouchers, but certainly the ones you get for doing the survey could easily be tied to your account if you had entered your number. If that's not the case then by all means give then to somebody. Have you done that successfully? Does it still work?
Also people could just do a survey on their own, easy enough to pick up a discarded docket, and get a voucher, so there's no need to pass any around. Like a guaranteed discount for a certain spend. They are usually offering some discount like that all the time anyway.
Have you done that successfully? Does it still work?
Done successfully from ~2010 through Jun-2015. But haven't tried this month - of recent times they have been making the survey harder, wouldn't surprise me if they are getting tougher with voucher redemptions too.
Also people could just do a survey on their own, easy enough to pick up a discarded docket, and get a voucher, so there's no need to pass any around.
Yeah, appreciate this. I was just thinking to save people's time in completing the survey. 5mins x 50 people = 4 hours saved. Well, that's what I was thinking anyway.
Thank you greenpossum.
They must have changed it. You never needed to do that before…
Will give it a try againI did mine last week & it asked me which option I wanted, didn't do further questions.
Same for me yesterday.
Probably they know everything about you already. :) But more likely there were no questions about your particular supermarket and they didn't want you in the forum.
i did one on 22/7 and got a voucher
Don't know what's happening with Coles lately. They seem to be deleting a lot of products - shelves aren't being re stocked & prices are jumping skywards at an alarming rate. It would seem that their zillion dollar profit margin is dropping.
prices are jumping skywards at an alarming rate. It would seem that their zillion dollar profit margin is dropping.
To me if their prices are rising, then their zillion dollar profit margin would be increasing.
But it's along time since my schoolboy maths so I might be wrong 😷
The low value of the dollar is hitting imports and making them more expensive.
Try comparing what we pay for groceries with places like the UK and the USA.
It is scary how much we pay.
Just did mine today and it asked if I want $5 voucher or 500 points. Nothing changed.
That simply meant they had no more questions to ask of you. It probably depends on the store.
Same here. That option was presented to me, I just declined to answer the extra questions and still got the $5 or 500pts. Took $5 option.
Did the survey today for the points and it did not give me any options for voucher or points. Even did the extra part…still nothing
Anybody having the problem as well?Same here, called Coles customer service on Monday and they said that they now no longer offer points or the $5 voucher. I pointed out the survey site still advertises the rewards for the survey, the rep insisted that "their tech guys are working on it" but they offered to post out a $5 voucher. Noticed that the site still advertises the points/$5 today though…
I did the survey twice today (short and long one) and no option for point or voucher anymore…so sad.
last year they cut down the points from 1000 to 500 and this year to 0?Same happened to me :C
same on 20th Aug - no option of points or voucher. Won't be bothering any more then with telling Coles!
Did the survey just now, using a docket dated 29/6/15. I only visited the deli section that day so I didn't have many questions to answer. On all feedback sections I ticked "no feedback". Selected "No - I do not want to be contacted". I also declined to answer any further questions with "No - I would like to finish now". Basically did the minimum amount of survey possible. But I still got to choose $5 off or 500 points.
Then I did the survey under my wife's flybuys card (totally seperate flybuys account, not a supplementary), did the same responses (except only visited dairy) and got the same result —> a choice of $5 off or 500 points.
Then as a laugh I tried submitting a third survey, using the dummy receipt details on the tellcoles homepage, put "N/A / Did not visit / Did not interact / Did not drive" across the board and it still gave me the choice of $5 off or 500 points.
I have no idea what is going on with different people's experiences.
EDIT: I have the $5 off voucher expiring 28/9/15 if anyone wants it pm me.
Hi pbg
Could you please email the 'tell coles' voucher. To me ASAP. Need to make a big purchase tomorrow
Thanks
Vicky
I've done the survey this month on our family accounts and have received the 500 points for each account already. I hope this isn't a sign of changes to come. It's bad enough that they have reduced the survey from 1000 to 500.
just did it hjust now. did not have option to get anything anymore. waste of time =)
No more points D: madness!
Did my monthly survey, as usual, with the extra questions for points.
No option to enter flybuys number.
NO POINTS.50 points (=25¢) now for each survey, since 9 August.
System automatically finds your flybuy number from docket number.
Just got this info from Flybuys call centre.Well…it was good while it lasted…
No more Tell coles survey then.
A bit annoying for the loss of the $5 voucher, but it may actually work out cheaper because I will buy more stuff in Aldi instead of making it up to $100 in Coles to use the voucher.50 points only? Geez that is crap. I certainly won't be doing the Tell Coles survey anymore
the only (slight) incentive for going to a coles store was the $5 discount. woolworths online is much cheaper nowadays compare to coles online.
I have a theory based on a number of changes this year, the last of them being no incentive to do the Tell Coles survey incident.
There have been two events this year which contributed to my theory. At some point this year Coles ended the Coles Blog. This was a site with articles about food and events at Coles and it also had competitions for Coles products. You used to be able to comment on the articles and get more information from the Coles staff but a couple of months before they removed the site they took away the comment function. Coles looked like they were moving in a different direction as far as customer involvment went.
The second event is the introduction of an additional question in the Tell Coles extra questions survey where it asks the customer whether they would like to be involved in an online forum to discuss fresh food and other shopping issues. I can't remember the details but I think the question hinted that there might be rewards for participating in this forum. I said yes to this question several times but haven't been asked to join the forum.
My guess is that Coles will be launching this new online forum community soon and will use the database they have been collecting from the Tell Coles survey to invite customers into the forum. The funds that were previously used to reward Tell Coles customers will now be participation rewards for the new forum. I'm guessing that the end of the Tell Coles rewards were planned months ago at about the time they included the forum questions in the Tell Coles survey. I doubt the rewards for the forum community will be more than 500 points per month but I'm hoping they'll be more than 50 points per month, which is the most any flybuys member will be making out of the "new" Tell Coles survey reward.
Sorry if above comment is too long.
Summary: My theory is that the only way to get rewards online for doing shopping at Coles will be to join the proposed online forum community mentioned in one of the extra questions in the current Tell Coles survey.
Yes you could be right about the online forum community.
I answered no when they started asking whether I wanted to join.
Next survey I will answer yes.i had a brief look at the online forum, waste of time IMO.
who is going to log in everyday or complete a poll for a few points?I haven't actually found it yet. Was it by special invitation or is the forum available on general web searches.
actually, I thought it was
theexchangecommunity.com.aubut it the website is not found any more.
You're on the right track. I found the login screen for the forum using a web search.
Evolve Research and Twist of Lime mentioned in the terms and conditions and on the About Us section of the web page are the research/data collection organisations behind the Tell Coles survey. I came across both these companies previously when I was looking for information on who Coles gets to run the Tell Coles survey.
I couldn't find any references to Coles in the terms and conditions. This might be the forum the Tell Coles survey mentioned or it might be another forum/online community run by Evolve/Twist of Lime for another customer. It appears that the forum is by invitation only as I couldn't find a "join here" notation and the link to the FAQ would only go back to the Login screen.
Crazy me would probably log in everyday to collect points for each of our family member flybuys accounts. I doubt I'd be able to get the equivalent of 500 flybuys points per month but it's better than nothing.
this is the url which let me get to the login page
Has this been permanently changed? I think I'll skip on my monthly Coles shop as it partially subsidies my fuel expense to get to another suburb to visit Coles.
just did the survey after a few months break and got nothing out of it. Not even an option to input flybuys number :(
I think all Ozbargainers should boycott Coles.
No more survey $5 voucher…
No more survey 500 flybuys points…
No more 5% discounted Coles gift cards on the Entertainment book…
That is enough!!!
NO MORE COLES!!!!!!!!!!
Lets all go to Aldi and Woolworths.
I bet Coles would see the difference if we all stopped going there….I think all Ozbargainers should boycott Coles.
No more survey $5 voucher…Can you please post the link to the Aldi or Woolworths $5 voucher?
No more survey 500 flybuys points…
Can you please post the link to the TellAldi or TellWoolworths survey where you can earn 500 EDR points?
No more 5% discounted Coles gift cards on the Entertainment book…
Plenty of places have 4% discounted Coles gift cards (5% discount less 1% processing fee). OK, I'll give you that it's 1% worse than WISH.
Lets all go to Aldi and Woolworths.
Nah, I think I'll keep shopping at all three, plus Harris Farm, plus my local butcher/grocer/market so that I always get the best price across the board. Why shoot myself in the foot by limiting my savings potential???
Very likely someone at Coles reads these posts.
They will be pleased to know that removing all the incentives does not affect at all how much business they get (according to your comment that is)Where can you find 4% off coles gift card?
Anywhere with the presidential card membership. I get mine either through AGL Rewards or MLC Rewards. But I think you can also get through Union Shopper? There are more but I can't recall off the top of my head and I'm away from my computer at the moment.
@PBG: https://www.unionshopper.com.au/signup/
not sure how do I sign up because I dont have Union membership? You shouldn't I guess. But I know a guy who signed up as a teacher, put down a made up teacher number and was given a login the next day. He wasn't a teacher.
You should also check your cards/memberships/anything you have access to, to see if they have a rewards benefit. You'd be surprised what benefits you already have access to - one might already be Coles gift cards
no option for the rewards for myself at the end, jumped straight to name and email, skipped the flybuys number.
I did the tellColes end of last month and managed to get the 500 points.
After reading all the negative comments, I just did a quick check on the survey and this time didn't get the chance to put in the flybuys number nor options. Looks like Coles has dropped the incentive by now.
I just did the survey for this month, no points nothing, unlike last month.
It's over… :(
It was good while it lasted though
i've still got a voucher valid until 31 aug. PM if you want it.
I seldom spent $100 in Coles and so the $5 voucher is no good for me.
However still want to say thank you to you and PBG for sharing. It's this spirit that makes this community so special!
Does the barcode change with the voucher's expiry date or is always the same?
Just completed a survey and no points. That's the last one from me!
I did a survey on 10th Aug received a voucher valid till 28th Sept.
No option at the end for me. Looks like I've done my last ever tellcoles survey. A nice shiny big new Woolworths has opened right near me too, how convenient.
Can anyone please email me or PM me a link to the voucher , pretty please :D
done :). Enjoy it for the next month while it still lasts!
Could you email me the voucher please, thanks.
Could you please send me one too? Thanks.
Has anyone done the survey recently? I have done it like 5 times today, and it didn't give me any option of 500 points or $5 off…………
Tried my monthly voucher and flybuy survey and this is the first time I got nothing. I tried two attempts, nothing on either attempt.
Can someone PM me a link to the last voucher that expires at the end of September?
pm me your email
me too, done survey several times this month and last month.
Nothing, no $5 off, no 500 points.
Thanks
I did the survey and same thing- no option of getting $5 voucher nor the 500 points, how disappointing! Wouldn't be bothering completing the survey from now on (and possibly spend more at Woolies/Aldi) :D
Awww.. bye Coles
Got a flybuys email invitation to do the coles survey for 50 points (=25¢)
Signed up for the online community - hopefully better rewards there.
At least I didn't need to enter my docket number or flybuys number.did the coles survey (TellColes.com.au) two times in last 4 days and no points are being offered anymore.
No incentive of telling coles about the store anymore ;)
OMG…..Has anyone got 500 points or voucher after the survey? Or has anyone contacted Coles about this?
Yep same for me this month. Last month it still worked. I guess they capped me this month. Did the survey today, last day of the month. No option for bonus 500 points. Thought I missed a step or something so did it again. No luck again. Pretty sure now they stopped rewarding the points, will try again next month if still the same, I will stop doing those surveys.
The last $5 voucher expired on 28 September.
No more $5 discount voucher and no more 500 points bonus!!!Has anyone tried if the last voucher still works even if it is expired? You never know… I will try if my next Coles shop is over $100
Coles plans to go down the path of Woolies or they think that we have got enough of Customer feedback and we don't need your feedback anymore.
IMO, Customer feedback is critical when you are equal with your competitors too.
Tell coles.
