I think you should put Singapore in the title.

  • thanks heaps op been looking for something like this

probably similar to premium economy on full-service airlines. - nothing like premium economy, its more like just economy on full service airlines.

It is ridiculous that it costs the same for Scootbiz from PER to SIN as from MEL to SIN.
It is about 4,000km to about 6,000km.

Because Perth is Rich and they know it

    • go and find out how much is the airport charges for PErth Airport. It is one of the most expensive in the world, and what did we get so far? the Worst Airport in the world !! under renovation for more than a year now (not Finish yet) and still i cant see any Major Physical changes compared to Eastern States Upgrades or even to Bali Airport. ( it actually finished Upgraded within 2 years - amazing for Indonesian standard.)

    • Ahh it doesn't worry me, Perth are always getting shafted with the deals anyway so let em get the most out of it haha

    • It's ridiculous that low-cost carriers have found a business model where they can profitably sell any kind of intercontinental airfare at <=$300 per person return, let alone manage to provide a premium economy product for $600. It's a fantastic deal even from SYD/MEL/OOL, I wouldn't complain too much about it.

…maybe one day CBR will get international services, and then I'll be happy…

(For the record, I flew TZ1/TZ2 SYD-SIN last month and it was very decent - the aircraft on TZ1/TZ2 are all brand new 787s, and the economy seats are as good as if not better than economy on most full service carriers, with the exception of not having in-flight entertainment. All in all, would recommend TZ any day.)

  • gimmie a skootbiz to thailand and im in

    • You might be able to take AirAsia from Sing. to Bkk at a reasonable price. However I think that it is a different terminal and so a 10 minute walk.

  • perth singapore trip ended up costing closed to approx $439 return with 20kg luggages, not $250… :( . GOIng is cheap ($139 but coming back is expensive ($299-$359) , more expensive than our trip 2 weeks ago which was about $390 return with 20kg Luggage.

Thanks for the total, the $250 is very deceiving and perhaps in future threads like this should inculde all charges.

      • not everyone need checked-in bag (e.g. for a short weekend getaway only). I was able to look up PER-SIN for $250 (no luggage, going is $139, back is $111) and $318 (with baggage).

        • -2

Does that inculde the credit card fee and seat selection?

        • @gamechanger: you can pay be POLi, no CC fee involved. And seat selection is not required. Heck even on Qantas you've got to pay for seat selection (unless you're Silver FF or above)

    Guys
    Price beat Jetstar from Melbourne.

I wouldn't price beat from Perth, Scoot has a wide body 787 and Jetstar has a crummy A320

    • What type of plane does both airlines fly out of Melb?

      • +1

        787

  • $250 return from Perth end of August - very good price. Note* Without baggage.

  • I can't find any Melb to sg for $600 return on business… Anyone have any luck?

      I just booked 6th November with a 22nd November return for $600
There were lots of seats on other dates. 1st November had some.
Maybe you are trying to book outside the booking period.

      • Im looking at the January to March travel window…

        • So I've just gone through the Jan to March travel window and the cheapest business I could find was $499 each way. Can anyone find this magical $600 business return flights?

I'm using the Scoot app btw… Maybe that's the issue?

Anyone managed to find $300 flights from Sydney?

  • thanks so much OP…booked syd to Phuket, with 20kg baggage and seat selection AND horrendous booking fee of $32 for a grand total of $401.50 Return. That's pretty darn cheap. Never flown with them before…are they worse than Jetstar/Airasia?

    • +1

You can use POLi and save the 32$. Works fine for me!

      • True! But then no "free" travel insurance with our cc provider, have to book flights with them to get the policy activated I believe. $32 is crazy, per person.
