Best and Most Cost Effective Way of Completing a CPR and First Aid Certificate?
Comments
Google and find the cheapest in your area, the courses can vary in price considerably for the same certificate. Just check you'll get the proper cert that you need for work.
Do a first aid and CPR course…I did my senior first aid all in one day for $200 to complete my certIII in student support.
It can be done for around $80 in Sydney
I really wish they would introduce First Aid training and CPR at school level for free.
Anyway, St John outlines all the different courses in a logical manner:
https://ssl.stjohnvic.com.au/training/If you're currently employed, see if you can get your current employer to pay for it. These days, lots of work-places are required to have someone 'on the floor' with first aid training. If you're unemployed/on the dole, I reckon you could get "Sennalink" to pay for it. They pay a lot more for peeps to do courses that are a lot less useful; so I can't imagine they'd knock you back if you asked them to pay for a short (1 or 2 days) first aid course.

The "sniff test" for that would surely be "what job will the training allow you to get, or increase your chances of getting"?
And +1 for St Johns for first aid training. At least give them a call to see what they can offer.
"… what job will the training allow you to get, or increase your chances of getting"?"
The answer to that would be "ANY job that requires one member of staff (or indeed, all members of staff) to be trained in first aid" Of which, there are thousands.
I'm still not sure that "Sennalink" would pay for it.

Many places offer re-certification for <$100, i'd expect certification to be double that.
