Whilst I realise it is not ideal to apply for work leave during your probation period, has anyone successfully got leave during that period? If so, for what reason?
Applying for Work Leave during Probation

If it is planned leave for a few days, you should declared it as soon as you received the job and I doubt they will complain.
If it is for an extended period (anything longer than a week) I would have declared it during the interview process, not because it might go against my chances of landing the job but if you have already booked flights etc and you are out a large sum you don't want to have the leave declined.
If it is for compassionate reasons and unexpected, I employer worth working for wont deny you a reasonable sum of leave, probably unpaid.
I was 1 month into a new job when I received 3 weeks off to get married and honeymoon, I declared this in the interview and they had no issues, they even paid me for it and let me go into negative days leave.
All any employer can ask for is full disclosure during interviews and maximum notice. My old man declared he was going on holiday while in the interview, which they accepted. Before he left for the holiday, they offered him pay for the duration including a pay rise. I don't expect that is the norm, but shows it happens.
Unpaid leave for a family emergency—- maybe?? Death in the family, medical emergency, etc…
Up to the employer, as anyone can have a crazy thing pop up- but definitely doesn't bode well for the employee. It depends on the level of employment, I suppose? A low-level job, easily filled may be, in the interim.
Good luck.
If you've just ozbargained a cheap airfare to Bali, and I was your employer, I'd sack you on the spot for asking.
It depends on how good you are as a worker and how desperately the company needs you. Even having a few sick days during probation is frown upon. I know you can't help from getting sick but the employer can't help from getting sick of you as well.
How long is your probation period?
At my workplace for everyone it is 6 months, so not uncommon for people to take annual leave from around month 4 or 5.
If yours is only 3 months, I think you should wait unless as others mentioned it is an emergency or you declared it before they hired you.
just depends how much they need you.
if you're easily replaceable then I wouldn't recommend it.
personally ive asked for a one month holiday in the middle of a 3 month contract, during the interview lol
did they accept it?
It depends on how good you are at the job, and if the employer knows it. If it's a good reason, most employers will be understanding.
