  • Very very annoying. Placed 3 orders. Most of the items are NIL STOCK and have been refunded. Waste of time.

i got one confirmed rdy to collect, but the other heard nothing. will need to do a paypal refund. sadly, i won't be playing in the bath tub with a $10 inflatable raft :(

Has anyone received their order from this deal? I'm still waiting. "Status:Awaiting Processing"

    • havent gotten anything…where are my socks?

  • No email, no nothing. Anyone else's online order been processed?

    • All 3 of mine has been processed. Order 1 got completely cancelled due to NIL STOCK on every item. Was given a $50 voucher with no min spend as an apology. 3 items from order 2 got processed. Rest cancelled. Delivery fee refunded. Tracking provided. Awaiting courier collection. Order 3 same thing. Delivery fee applied though. Awaiting courier collection. Not to bad so far but annoying.

    • Same. I have just sent them an email.

      • I'll keep my silence in the meantime hoping that they fulfill - even just the socks

        • no, just do a paypal dispute. if the order doesn't get filled within a day or two (max) they won't fill it. they're banking on you forgetting. get your money back ASAP via paypal (which takes time), or CC chargeback and move on.

      • We apologise for the delay regarding your order. Due to an unforeseeable high demand on these clearance items we have now sold out and are not able to supply anything else in replacement. Our on line team are aware of this and are currently in the process of cancelling these and issuing refunds accordingly. Below is a list of what you have ordered and what is happening.

  • i've had to launch one paypal dispute to get a full refund, over a week and heard nothing. only one of my orders is rdy to be picked up, and another is also going to go the refund route again.

i hope paypal give me 100% of my money back and not a partial refund.

  • I emailed them a couple of days ago and got nothing at all in response. My order is stuck on "processing". If they can't fulfil an order, at least let people know rather than hold on to their money.

    • no they won't do anything, just get your money back via paypal dispute. i've done one already and the other i'll start today. only ever had one order filled in about 4 from ray's outdoors. they are truly a joke.

      • I don't think I'll let them off that lightly. A PayPal dispute/refund is just giving up and letting them away with it so that they can repeat it in the future. They're part of Super Retail Group, so let's see if the higher ups care enough about the reputation of their brand to fix this - http://www.superretailgroup.com/about-us/our-leadership/

        • Same boat, order being cancelled. Let them have it, told them it was a common occurrence with them not contacting their customers and will be making a formal complaint. They said they refunded me yesterday, such BS. Now waiting to speak to their supervisor to get the order fulfilled.

The irony is they claim to be out of stock and they are continuing to sell the same item on their website. They obviously don't want to honour the sale.

I suggest we all make a formal complaint.

        • @Austrian Oak: they probably won't honour the sale because their online outfit is different to instore. stores will claim it's below their cost price, they pay higher rent etc. and click and collect actually have someone checking orders rather than the hundreds they need to process each day in a warehouse somewhere.

i've had click and collect problems with DSE before as well. and it's always a pain to get a refund. but if you miss that window for refund (some CC chargebacks are limited to 30days) you'll lose your money for good.

don't risk it cos paypal can take a few weeks, or up to a month. get the wheels turning.

        • @Austrian Oak: Coincidently (surely) just minutes after posting the above I got an email from Paypal telling the money had been refunded, with no other communication from Rays. I'll still be going ahead and letting them know how unprofessional I believe they've been.

        • @banana365: they really won't give a shit.

        • @insular: You can guarantee they won't if nobody calls them out on it. I'd rather do something and get nothing in response than do nothing. I'd be pretty tempted to contact "The Checkout" on their FU-Tube thing if I didn't work in a rather public facing role.

        • @banana365: best thing you can do is bitch about it on social media, facebook, twitter etc. but there's so much of that already. they'll post a message saying 'thank you for your feedback blah blah blah, we will endeavour to blah blah blah please let us know if you need anything blah'. so basically, they won't give a shit.

i think ray's will go under eventually if they aren't already (melb city store closed recently)

        • @insular: I'm not young enough to bitch on social media :) Rays always give the impression of being just a tiny fraction above "we're going bust so don't care two hoots about presenting our products professionally, just grab what you want from the pile". I was rather surprised that BCF are part of the same group. Now there's a shop that always looks like it's in the middle of a bankruptcy sale!

    • I just phoned them and was told that my order was "affected by stock availability" expect a refund. Reminds me of Seinfeld, they can take the reservation but can't keep it!! Very poor

was told by phoning them that the orders have been cancelled and refunds should be processed by next week. :(

After waiting for so long, I got an email last week that all of my order will be refunded due to no stock.
Till now, no refund received, and no reply from their customer service email.
    Really bad customer service!!!

  • Got an email back today:

"Thank you for placing your recent order with our Ray’s Outdoors online store.

We apologise for the delay with processing your order. Due to unexpected demand we have experienced issues locating stock.

Unfortunately, due to stock unavailability we are unable to supply the following products."

Basically I ordered $62 worth of various items and NOTHING was in stock.
