Would avoid CPL at all costs.
One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.
Why? Please provide details? Thanks.
I haven't shopped with them since Nov 2013 after they screwed up my order then tried to blame it on me.
I was going to buy parts for a new desktop with a Xeon E3-1230v3. I emailed them a list of all the parts I wanted, they said Okay and asked for a $100 deposit which I provided. When I went to pick up my items they tried to give me a E3-1230v2 and said that was what I ordered. It wouldn't have worked with the motherboard I was getting…
They didn't even have the v3 in stock and they kept trying to say it was my fault, that I should have checked the order. So I told them to cancel the order and refund everything and I haven't shopped there since.thanks. I would be careful with them.
@kpet: i recently purchases an intel nuc i3 from them and received within 3 days from purchase. They communicated once it had been shipped and also provided be with tracking details. so i didnt have a bad experience with them
go tell the old news police….
nov 2013 was years ago.@tuzii: Why would it be any different now (2015)?
About 3 months back I purchased an Intel NUC and a few other items from CPL (Notting Hill). On the way home I open the box and noticed that the NUC is damaged so I drove back to CPL and asked to swap for another.
It took them almost over 2 hours before they even bother inspect the unit and agreed to swap for new one. Then it took them half an hour to pick the unit out from the warehouse which was a different model, so have to wait again…so all up I waited nearly 3 hours to swap for a DOA unit.
The staff were unfriendly, careless…
I told myself I will never ever buy anything from them again no matter how cheap the price is.
Why? I had no problems with them when I ordered in May.
They did tell me the shipping was delayed, but at least they communicated throughout the process.
Appreciate the effort, but some money saved without the OS would be even better for those of us with MSDN subscription.
Cheers buddy, appreciate the feedback. Comments (positive & negative) are what I'm after for future deals :)
interesting the price without OS, rep, can you do that, cheers
Is that you yoda?
I'm also interested to know this.
i7 nuc… Coming up next!
Compared to the below deal….how much do you lose with the 4010U?
Intel NUC i3-5010 + 8GB RAM $448
When are we seeing the i7 deals please?
It's been a week? The Mini HDMI port goes to the screen?
So how about an adaptor thrown in?
Have a normal HDMI cable! The i3-5010U has more processing grunt and better graphics (HD 5500 vs HD4400 in the i3 4010U). The newer NUC also has the interchangable lids that you can make functional upgrades (NFC, card reader, Qi charger etc).
