  • I found the modem on their website…

    http://www.bigw.com.au/product/netgear-broadband-dsl-modem-d…

Couldn't find the range extender though.

I can vouch for the modem as I've been using mine since two years or so ago, never missed a beat.

  • which store is this? i was only able to find the switch on the website.

The range extender is a different model on the website.

    • Pic is from Victor Harbor (SA) store. There was plenty of stock, full shelves.

    Hi,

This has been a Drop-zone (Clearance) range for a few months now, so your store might have plenty of stock or none at all.
Hopefully you find what networking products you need.

    Hi

I just browsed on BigW website and found this :

    http://www.bigw.com.au/search/?text=netgear

  • That's a good price on an 8 port gigabit switch!

    Datasheet - http://www.netgear.com.au/images/pdf/GS605_GS608_DS_28Apr111…

My last 8 port gigabit switch purchase was a $26 Tenda (+delivery) from evatech bundled into another order.

  • Is the Range extender any good? and is it N300? Ive heard some Netgear ones a pure SHITE. They don't connect or drop connections. Is this in that category?

    • I'd be interested to know as well if this is any good

  • if you can find one, I recommend the gs608 switch. I have been using one for several years without problem.

    • You are lucky. The GS608 (version 2) I got from a friend is a true POS. It drops 1G connections down to 100M whenever it likes. Found and replaced two leaking power caps but still no good. Then I measured the voltage from the power adapter and it was outputting 15V (it is supposed to be 12V). Replaced the power adapter and this POS is still unstable.
