  • Is this the cheapest 128gb SD card atm?

    • converts to about AU$70 shipped, which is the cheapest that I've seen shipped. Trying to decide if I buy one for an upcoming holiday… but you know…

  • Order from Komputerbay if you want a much faster card
They rate super high at Amazon
    4K Certified

Ok price but sloooow writes. Doubt it'd handle 4K. Spend a little more to get something fast. They have others on special too.

  • This work okay in a sony camera? (mines just a ditgial one with lenses, not quite SLR).

Too bad the AUD is not good :( internet shopping :(

    • Yeah the Greece fiasco is really affecting the AUS$. Shame that Greece farts and Australia gets the stench.

      • +3

I would say what's happening in China is affecting us more than Greece. China's stock market bubble is collapsing as we speak. Couple that with a slowdown in their economy, less demand for iron ore and coal, and overproduction of said commodities, I suggest people acclimatize now to shopping with an Australian dollar worth 65 US cents.

        • I better stock up my Chinese made loop loop eneloop before the price gone up!

but coal… coal… that's our future! (excuse sarcasm!)

But yes, you are right. Quite scary that they have over 1000 companies who have suspended trading. Last time I saw suspended trading was after 911… (though might have happened after GFC too - I changed industry between the two)

And if the TPP and the TSIP get through then it wont really matter what our dollar is worth, because we either wont be able to buy it or we'll have to pay whatever unreasonable charge they feel like buying.

The Liberal strategy is for the dollar to be low. Their goal is to "take pressure off the high Australian dollar" (by making it a low Australian dollar) https://www.liberal.org.au/our-plan/budget

And it is expected to go lower by many, assuming that the Reserve Bank cuts interest rates further. http://www.smh.com.au/business/markets/the-australian-dollar…

        • ..in preparation for election?

Not worth it, in U.S. It's $40 and we pay almost double, now it's what $70? They charge to much for local also now they wanna kill us with us exchange rates, so horrendous.

    • Huh?
Are there better deals you know of?

      What are you on about?

  • Out of curiosity, I'm spending approximately 5 weeks overseas in the next couple of months. I'll be taking my 128GB Surface Pro 1 with me on my journey, and since it's fairly low capacity I don't particularly want to put my selection of music on to the tablets SSD. Would the speed of this card or ones like it be sufficient for using for media storage/playback? Carrying a portable HDD around isn't really ideal…

    • +3

Hey mate. The SP uses micro SD so this card would be no good unless you plan on having a card reader.
Re the speed side of things - SD cards are well slower than a ssd so from a speed perspective you'd want a much faster card for decent read write speeds. Should be sufficient for music though..

      • Ok cheers

  • Digi79 . The deal expires 4pm est, 9th July. 12hrs left…https://www.ozbargain.com.au/user/84049
