  • Daiso's got some ultra thin brandy glass for $2.80 each, not sure how they compare to Glencairns.

Depends on what attributes you're using to compare. Ability to hold fluids? Same same. Prettiness? Probably poorly.

      • If we were judging a glass based on their ability to hold fluids, then I am sure my shoe would make a good glass.

      • The Daiso ultra thin glasses looks pretty good, else I would have mentioned them. I was thinking of buying them myself instead of getting the glencairn glass to hold my whiskey.

        • Can you post the link to the brandy glasses please? I'm interested

  • I saw them at Daiso near Central Station. Google and found something similar.

    • Thanks. I looked on their website but couldn't see what you were referring to. I had a look in their store on Broadyway and I think I saw the glasses you linked. They aren't quite the same shape as the glen cairn. Which would you use for brandy or whisky?

  • hmm if you are going to use it for alcohol (ie getting drunk) wouldn't thick walled glass be a safer option ?

    • +2

amazingly, getting drunk is not the sole purpose when drinking alcohol. some people actually drink alcoholic beverages for the enjoyment of the beverage. Good glassware can improve the enjoyment of the beverage… if it didn't we'd all be drinking out of Vegemite glasses, not just the hipsters.

Bro theres more to whiskey (and life) than JW red and Coke.

    • stainless steel would be safer, why glass then?

  • Thanks. Bought a set as a father's day gift.

      great gift

  • These are not as good as the Glencairn. They are smaller.
