  • Great phone at an excellent price!

    What's the RAM on this?

    • 2GB RAM - see specs: http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_moto_x_(2nd_gen)-6649.php

      • Oh…..I think 3GB is the sweet spot now. I noticed a very significant improvement in speed and fluidity when moving from G2 to G3 (2GB to 3GB Ram), the CPU is only slightly faster. 2GB struggles a bit if you like using home screen widgets.

I think 2GB is plenty, the only concern for me personally is the 16gb no sd card

  • Sale mustn't have started yet as it's still showing as $629 on the JB web site.

And if any one wants to know the specs on the web site is claiming that it's the 16GB storage version.

    • Same here, wondering when does the sale starts.

    • +2

I have the catalogue. The sale starts Thursday.

  • Anyone care to comment on battery life? Reviews are pretty average, barely a day if you're lucky!

  • This or the HTC One M8?

  • A quick search online found Mobiciti sell it for $479 also with free shipping.

Are they are also local stock? They do charge GST and offer 12 month warranty.

  • Should be able to match at HN along with $50 back from AmEx, making it $438?

Anyone able to comment on alternatives to this for $400ish (mainly after a decent camera and battery life)?

    • +1

That would be a good idea

Maybe OnePlus one? Though I don't know which one would be considered better. Camera on the OPO is not great, but battery life is pretty good. Similar price point.

      • ;)

        • Actually you could probably do a price match for Mobileciti (posted by 529394 above) because it's still local stock.

Keep in mind that AMEX statement credit for Harvey Norman expires July 10!

    • G3

  • Was there a Moto G advertised in that catalogue? :)

  • Not a bad deal for the white/bamboo version, picked it up from Brisbane CBD this morning

    • Did they have many in stock?

      • They had 3 when I asked (this is the Adelaide St JB-Hifi)

        • Cheers. Thanks for that.
