Hey guys,
I was looking to get the kogan 42' tv but when speaking to them they said it doesn't support DLNA. Can anyone recommend a smart TV around $500 that I can stream wirelessly to from my server?
Cheers

I have my shows on a WHS - do you mean I could get a WD unit to stream the shows to that which would be connected to the tv? if so could you recommend one?
I have a WDTV Live.
i use a Sony BDP-S5100 3D Bluray Player with built in Wifi
it streams every format we thow at it with no issues at all.
It is linked in with our Sony Sony KDL50W800B so the bravia sync allows us to operate with the one remote.
Or you can always just purchase a cheap TV and a decent Bluray player that will stream
OO.com.au have a couple of decent ones they have a 20% off sale for today if you use visa checkout.
Kogan have a 42' Tv? Fourty-two feet? Wow :-)
I have a Sony smart TV, and natively it doesn't play much at all. I was never able to get Plex set up to transcode properly on the fly on my DLNA server, and in the end, I just gave up and used a WD Live unit to play movies. Now, I have a Fetch TV box, and that seems to play everything.
LG used to have a bit of a reputation for playing virtually everything, so they might be worth a look. Samsung too.
Sorry that I can't be of more help, but I think DLNA is a reasonable idea let down by poor implementation. Streaming seems a heck of a lot easier.
