Lenovo Tab 2 A7-10 Tablet - $98 @ Harvey Norman

40

I've been in the market for a tablet for my children. There have been many posted on oz bargain however I believe this to be one of the best, entry level tablets.

Currently retailing for $98 the helpful assistant at HN mentioned that it is below cost price.

Please find an unboxing and review I found on the tablet: https://youtu.be/CEPN5O-mliI

Great tablet and I am very happy with it. The only thing I have noticed is the screen isn't as good as some of the more expensive tablets.

But at this price, I'm happy for my kids to drool all over it, get sticky fingers on the screen and even drop it.

Please let me know if you need more info.

Happy shopping!

that resolution is absolutely horrible, but probably a good deal none the less.

for more of a bargain, the Chuwi Vi8 or Hi8 ($100-110) come with 8" screens and 720p/1080p displays, double the ram, better cpu and dual boot with windows/android.

this is good if you don't wanna wait a month and just get something now though. being an ozbargainers though im keen for all the value i can squeeze out of my dollar!

      that resolution is absolutely horrible,

Thats just ignorant. Perhaps you are thinking of Windows?
It works fine in Android. My kids have one like that, and one HD 7" tablet, and I doubt they notice the difference.
It depends what you use it for.

    • where can you buy Chuwi Vi8 or Hi8?

      • +1

        BangGood, GearBest, TinyDeal, etc.

        Get the Hi8.

  • not good man, saw this every day at OW, as above get a chuwi at this price even if you need to wait a month

How does this compare with the $59 Tablet from Target?

    • More likely to last, and I'd guess the display on the Target one is poor.

Very similar. I'd take the 20% discount.
Though Lenovo has 4.4, HP 4.2 Jellybean

        The Lenovo is much faster.

Hardly for children, Android is superior to Windows Tablets.

Why do people keep suggesting a windows tablet in Android threads? It might makes sense if it was dual boot, but makes as much sense as posting a iPhone deal in response to a Samsung S6.

    mtk8127 and a 1024x600 IPS display, 1GB 8GB Android 4.4
Decent specs, fine for games and videos. Decent price. Similar specs to the HP 7 plus we've seen here.

"cost price" at HN etc is a BS number made up by the accountants for the purpose of salesmen commission and dishonest "below cost"advertising.
You would be wrong to think it is what they actually paid the supplier.

    • It maybe below the floor price due to internal rebates & warehouse recovery costs.
I bought one & i am happy with it.

Looks like a decent little tablet to me. Personally, I stick with Nexus devices, but if I had kids who wanted a tablet for everyday stuff like emails, games, web browsing etc, I would get them one of these.

One key thing to mention… These tablets WILL be getting Android Lollipop 5.0 very soon:

  • I have the this tablet for the kids. Fits their usage very well. Bought it from officeworks during the 20% eBay uk promo.

  • Is it a glass screen or plastic screen, that is always the deal breaker for me. I hate having to get screen protectors for plastic screens, and the glass ones I can clean my kids finger prints from without scratching.

    • I'm not 100% but I think it might be plastic. Sorry.

  • can someone please recommend a hard (kids proof ) case for this tablet?
