Thanks to anonymous asfd for the C20EXTRA code.
I'm posting this from my own Acer Aspire S7 which I bought last year for $1359.20 during another eBay 20% off deal. Surprised it wasn't posted here.
Original Price is $1999 from Dick Smith.
Sale = $1699
-20% (C20EXTRA) ($300 cap) -$300
-2% (Cash Rewards) -$33.98
-$99 cashback from Acer
=$1266.02
(+ $50 eBay voucher)
($9.95 shipping or free click and collect)
[edit: $300 discount cap for C20EXTRA]
Note that this is for the old model (S7-392) and Dick Smith's initial price is very inflated. The S7-393 can be bought from JB Hi-Fi for $1598. The only difference being the Broadwell 5th Generation CPU having slightly better processing speeds and battery life, and faster wireless.
Specs of Acer Aspire S7-392
CPU: 4th Gen Intel(R), Core(TM), i7-4500U Processor (4M Cache, up to 3.00 GHz)
Graphics: Intel(R), HD Graphics 4400 with 128 MB RAM
Memory 1: 8GB DDR3-SDRAM 1066MHz
Storage: 256GB Solid State Drive (2x 128GB SSDs in Raid Zero. A bit useless, but super fast!)
Screen: 13.3" Display (IPS), 1920 x 1080 with 10 point multi-touch
Ports: 2x USB 3.0, HDMI, SD Card Slot and comes with a multi-use adaptor slot.
This is a ridiculous price for a top of the line ultrabook nonetheless. The trackpad and keyboard can't compete with Apple Trackpads, but are very reasonable, and even with the heavy touchscreen, the computer is still slimmer (1.30cm) than Apple's new Macbook; and just a touch heavier (1.30 kg).
isn't this the old model ?
