Lanson is a great champagne for the price. Better than Moet for sure.

Moet is not a favourite of mine, as above I find it is very very overrated, but at that price it could be a good buy for presents/giving to guests/ making champagne cocktails etc
It's basically a designer brand, and on that matter people with money AND taste drink Veuve which is far nicer for $10 more.
I'm personally not a massive Veuve fan. I actually really like Mumm which has the added bonus of usually being cheaper than the others :)
oh I forgot about Mumm. It is delicious. Too delicious sometimes ;-)

Verve is nicer, also Billecart is also a fav of mine. As you said Moet is a good present, people always appreciate it :-)
Verve is a lot nicer and better value per $, I go through that the most, I also like Tattinger, but not had it that often since coming to Australia
