Great mouse. would definitely recommend for this price… in fact would recommend even at a higher price. The only "problem" is that you need to put the receiver close to your mouse, but they've got a USB extension cable included so it's not a problem.

    • I already have one of these, but tempted to get another one in case the original one breaks down! Tempting!!!

    • +1

      not a problem.

Kinda half defeats the point of it being wireless. Sure I no longer have an annoying cord going from my mouse to the pooter but I would have an annoying cord coming from the pooter to somewhere near the mouse.

      That's a problem for me …

      • +2

I dunno about close; just tested that mine works fine from 4m away (with line of sight). Maybe Yongaz had it behind his computer.

I think the main advantage of wireless isn't so much that the receiver is far away, more that you don't have to tug on the cable. But I still use a wired keyboard and just run the cables together. (The decreased error rate and lower latency of a closer wireless receiver, which applies to any mouse, is also better for gaming.)

        • I agree. I think the main thing - particularly for a 'gaming' mouse, is that there is no drag or tug on the cable, which can be annoying for gaming and normal use of course.

Although I too have had wireless problems when I have taken my mouse a bit further than the desk. I'm not sure what it is, since it was still at the front of the computer. But I have a USB hub near the front, and stick it in there, so it's absolutely fine.

      • well mine was behind, so basically all I did was run the cable behind the desk and have it stick out a little above the table. I tried it in the front USB ports, but my tower is under the table so I get that occasional lag.

I get what you're saying, (and "pooter" made me lol), but for all intents and purposes mine still functions totally like a wireless in that there's no tug on the cable, as someone below has mentioned. All I have to live with is that little bit sticking out behind my table. My Minion figurine (given to me as a gift) covers it nicely.

The programmable buttons btw are good for non-gaming too… in fact I found that that's been the biggest benefit heh. I've got profiles for web browsing and word processing and it's made my life sooooo much easier. You don't really need it, but once you have it you can't really live without it.

        Kinda like Facebook.

oh who am I kidding. Screw FB gimme my life back Mark.

    • Compared to g502, which one would you prefer?
I reckon g502 is for smaller hand and simple game and for someone who don't want to spend money on ENELOOP

      • +1

I thought g502 was targeted more towards gamers.

Has all these 'gaming' functions: weights, sharp shooter button and a LED lit G. Gamers love LEDS!
g502 would be for the claw grip or smaller hands
This mouse looks like its for palm grip

        • Hmmm , seems that g602 is much better than g502.

Anyway , I will try it in JB hifi or dicksmith before buying , thanks for info

ooops didn't mean to neg. and I can't remove it? soz…

      • +1

        it's all good :)

        • :D

really weird why I can't remove the neg :\

  • +3

Was so set on this mouse until I saw it doesn't have hyper scroll.

  • +1

Bought this mouse just before Christmas last year - the battery is still going! I would highly reccommend! Even if you don't game, this mouse is hard to beat :)

  • +1

Thanks op. Just purchased one. You da real MVP.

  • Got one of these good mouse

  • Thanks OP. I need somewhere to put my eneloops.

Very good reviews on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Gaming-Mouse-Battery…

How quickly does Shopping Express ship?

  • +1

I bought it from the last deal as it came back in stock a week ago https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/195860

Great mouse, no issues. Sort of hard to reach all 8 programmable buttons comfortably.

    • How long did shippingexpress take to post it? Thanks

      • Few days, it was very quick

  • How's mac compatibility OP? Will I be able to make use of all the buttons?

  • Could not resist, backup for my perfomanceMX.

  • My old G500 died becasuse of the typical Logitech 'double click' problem after 1.5 years, would be keen for this but it sounds like this mouse doesnt have the hyper fast scroll wheel of whatever the call it. Not sure if I can live without it now.

    • G502 has the hyper scroll, it's a wired mouse though, which is better anyway. I love mine, I've had 5 Logi mouses and this thing is the most accurate bar none.

      • Cheers I'll wait for a deal on a G502 to pop up, I rather wired also.

  • Picked this up for $38 at Dick Smith last year. Awesome mouse!

  • +1

Waiting for a good deal on MX master. This is also a good mouse though.

    • I read a comment from Shopping Express a few weeks back that they were planning to do a deal on the MX Master. Still waiting - hoping it's soon.

      • I'll skip this one then. Fingers crossed.

    • Mx master looks sweet.
I have the performance mx which I love so I'm also waiting for a deal on the mx master.
Hope it's just as good as the performancemx

Bought one few months back had it die unexpectedly. Wouldn't recommend tbh

    • +2

      Considered warranty?

      • -2

i would if i didn't already chuck the thing out haha

  • Oh damnit. Just bought this yesterday at Umart! Picked it up for $20 more than this is delivered. Urgh.

  • i find the Logitech Gaming Software fails to launch with windows 8.1 more than half the time :/

    • +2

Windows 8.1 64-Bit here - no issues that I've encountered. But when I worked at Dick Smith we had one returned from someone saying that the software didn't work for his 8.1 PC, so YMMV.

    • I'm also on 8.1 and have no issue with the gaming software.
      Might need to reinstall something

    • +1

I'm on 8.1 pro. Sometime it didn't come up on the icon tray but running in the background.

Just need to go to task manager, kill it and open the program again to work.

I have to say that it is not the norm, but it does happen.

It's a really good mouse for gaming and day to day stuff. Shame I bought it at full price.

  • +1

Great mouse for the office even though it's a 'gaming' mouse. The responsiveness is just amazing.

  • Anyone with the mouse, can they quickly measure its overall length and report it here? I cant find any official specs and im not sure about size judging from youtube videos.

    • Approximately 12.5-13cm

      • +1

        Cheers.
But in the Ozb spirit I succumbed to the bargain without knowing all the details. At least now I'll know what to expect.

        • +1

          It's a great mouse! You won't regret it :)

  • How does this mouse compare to the Performance MX model?

  • If you have big hands, the G502 will give you the shits.
I still prefer G502, it's far better to use corded mice for gaming, especially FPS gaming.

  • Ahhh I just missed the deal hey rep can you extend it one more day please:)

  • I bought one of these a few months ago and it works well.

The little wireless receiver was mangled in my bag and I needed a replacement.

After much angst, I'm stuck with a mouse and no receiver effectivly rendering it useless.

Logitech support were useless and told me I have to buy a new mouse.

You can get spares in the USA but not in APAC!!

  • Right, I miss this deal for the third time……

  • Good mouse, i've had it for a year.

If you're a pro-gamer, i.e play competitive Team Fortress 2, or any other FPS game then this mouse does not cut it. You will need a wired one.

If you play games casually, i.e single player, MMORPGS, and online games for fun, this is tops.

    • And why does it "not cut it"?

      • No wireless mouse and/or keyboard can cut it to pro gamers.
You will never see serious LAN comps with wireless peripherals, the input lag can basically mean life or death.

When the vendors say "wireless gaming mouse" or "wireless gaming KB" they don't really aim these at competitive online gamers, more so the avid single player gamer.

I used to play competitive TF2 with a Corsair gaming mouse - I've since stopped and now play casual online servers with a G602, I can never get the level of precision on a wireless mouse

  • Received it, yet to try it out though.

    • Yep me too :) Very fast delivery

      • +2

Standard speed for Aus post parcels within the same city, really. I just dont like when people liek Dick use startrack or whatever other couriers, which take foreeeeeeeeverr and then drop you that card saying the 'missed you'.

        • Half the time they already have the slip filled out and dump it in the mailbox to expect you to go fetch it.
