So.. of all the brands and models, which one is the best at detecting heart rate? Do results vary with skin colour? Are heart rate bands any better?
And is the heart rate monitor on the S5 useful or a gimmick - I was thinking about signing up to the telstra $45 offer and getting an S5 to solve my issue.
Chest Strap types are said to be more accurate, but you'd be keen to wear it 24/7. Depends what you want to do with the information.
If you don't have a wrist band already, I suggest starting with the Xiaomi MiBand for under $20 (Steps + Sleep).
