B&H have a (less than) 24 hour special on the InFocus IN3126 3D projector. All up price including shipping is $665 -cheapest price on StaticIce is $1,210

Seems like a good projector if you don't mind the 720p resolution (WXGA 1280x800). Very bright, particularly for a name-brand projector at this price - 4000 Lumens.

I'm not going to buy one (DLP projectors make me nauseated) but thought I'd share in case someone else is in the market.

Specs below:

The IN3126 projector is compatible with PC-based 3D content configured at 720p and running at 120Hz. All you need are DLP Link 3D glasses to enjoy the experience (optional, sold separately).

This filter-free projector has an Eco Mode that still projects 3400 lumens, allowing you to save on lamp life and still produce a great picture. It even includes theft prevention measures, like email notification when the projector goes offline, a cable lock slot and PIN password protection.

    • This worries me though:

The IN3126 projector is compatible with PC-based 3D content configured at 720p and running at 120Hz. All you need are DLP Link 3D glasses to enjoy the experience (optional, sold separately).

My projector's 3D feature is advertised the same, and it is useless as a 3D projector. It doesn't support 120hz over HDMI, only blurry VGA, nor 3D standards of 3D blu-ray players and such, so there's basically no way to ever use the 3D feature.

It also cost only $500 from Officeworks, despite having great image quality and the same native res as this one (1280x800).

For around $850, and probably less, you can get a full HD Acer or Benq 3d projector. I bought an Acer full HD 3d projector for about $800 a couple of years ago.

  • It shows $1299 to me, how to get $665?

  • Damn, not even Full HD =( can't imagine the 3D experience would be great with a sub-1080p display being cut in two.

This is 4:3 aspect ratio, not good for watching movies. Better to spend a bit more and get Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution with 16:9 ratio, like the BenQ mentioned above.

1280x800 is more like 16:10, I think youll find.

      • You are correct, it is 16:10, but still not ideal for movies and the resolution is not great, especially once you start to project over 100" inches.
I have a Full HD projector with 110" screen and that is borderline acceptable.
